although I do find it laughable that a lot of so called 'analysts' think GB will win. Seems like they're hoping more than objectively analyzing though. Lame

It's surprising we're not bigger rivals, like we were in the 90's. We've faced off with the Packers and bounced them from the Playoffs 3 times in the past 10 years and beat them, 3 more times in the regular season. We're 6-3 against them over the past 10 years. The only times they've beat us are in 2015(dear lord, the Tomsula year) 2018 after Jimmy tore his ACL and 2020 when Jimmy had a horrible high ankle.
I remember in the 90's it was like we faced them twice a year, like a division rival. Both in the regular season as we were both on top of our division each year and in the playoffs.
I looked it up, we faced them 7 times in 4 seasons in the late 90's and were 6-1 vs them. Old Mooch had Holmgrens #.
No the Packers owned the 49ers in the 90s.
On paper, I think the 49ers are at least a touchdown better than GB, but the injuries level the playing field and of course Rodgers > #10, so who knows how this will turn out.
Yeah the Packers owned us in the 90s (hence my deep rooted hatred for them just like for the Cowboys).
1995 - knocked us out of the divisionals in SF
1996 - beat us on MNF
1996 - knocked us out of the divisionals in GB
1997 - beat us Sunday game
1997 - knocked us out in the NFCC game in SF
1998 - we beat them in the Wild Card in SF
1999 - beat us on MNF
We only beat them ONCE (Catch II) in the 90s, and we lost every game to them in the 00s, including a Wild Card loss in 2001 in GB.
Our winning streak against them started during the Harbaugh era.
Did I mention I have a deep rooted hatred for them ?

I'm pretty sure we could win this game with Kevin Barlow as RB1. Our running game is still top 10 with the scheme and offensive line together.

It's funny, whenever we play these chumps the only argument anyone has in favor for GB is "dOnT sLeEp oN aArOn"
and every time we shove their face in s**t, I expect this Sunday to be more of the same

i hope at least one of our rookies will play.. but to me. you are over valuing the scheme... the running backs we signed are really really at the bottom of the heap.. but what the hell. if one of them gets at least 50 yards it will help,.

Just browsing through a bunch of Packers forums, seems like the majority of Packer fans have resigned to accepting a loss this weekend. There are some optimists hoping for a shootout, but most acknowledge their D has no chance on stopping us.
