I think we will get a lot of answers RE a few questions going forward. Like how our patch work run game and secondary will hold up against a playoff caliber teams. This is our first true test, in which both the offense and defense will need to bring their A-game. Let's see how it goes because next week is division rival time.

I think we're all a little nervous. Let's see what we've got with these teams coming up - I think we're up for the challenge.
First home game in a very long time with fans is going to give the boys a tremendous boost. Levi's will be rocking on Sunday night for this prime time matchup.

If we do everything we're supposed to be able to do; pressure Rodgers and run the ball effectively, we will cruise to a W. Rodgers will complete some passes outside and our corners will be exposed a few times, but not nearly enough to win the game for GB. If the 9ers can run the ball, with whoever they march out, I can see 9ers scoring on over 80% of their drives making it almost impossible for GB to keep up with Rodgers having to throw the ball over 40 times letting our pass rushers feast.

I believe we will win the turnover battle (no stupid INTs Jimmy) and we move on to our division matchups 3-0.

Final prediction: 34-24 49ers (Packers score late)

GO 9ERS!!! #QuestFor6

its definitely not a gimme we just match up very well to the packers

as long as it doesnt turn into a shootout we should win

I find this very accurate.

lol of course they had to get their little crap in about Lance. Those two are so lame when it comes to that.

For the actual discussion about the matchup they're accurate for sure. We have no idea what this Packers team is long term. Weird week 1 game vs the Saints, made even weirder by the Saints trash showing week 2(although Saints dealt with some injuries and half their coaches being out) the Packers offense was never really a big question. The fact that the Lions got to Aaron Rodgers was surprising to me.

It's their defense which is the biggest question mark right now. So maybe the people picking the Packers think if a shootout happens they trust Rodgers over Garoppolo...ok don't know anyone who would argue with that logic.

The problem with that logic is you're forgetting that even with the injuries at corner how much better the front 7 of the 49ers is in comparison to GB. Yes the skill players for GB are much better than what the 49ers have but it's a team game.

If the 49ers play a clean game they should win this. Nothing is guaranteed in this league but people looking at the Lions game for the Packers and thinking they blew them out and all is well again clearly didn't pay attention or didn't watch that game.

It's almost like the opposite effect vs the Lions for both of these teams.

49ers got the - lol they could barely close out the Lions and let them back into the game
Packers got the - they took care of business and blew them out, they're back!
We are too confident as fans coming off of struggling with the Iggles. Any given Sunday and all that. If the Niners play half to their potential Sunday, they should win easily in front of a raucous home crowd.

I remember having the same questions in 2019 as we were getting ready to go against the Browns and their weapons after a 3-0 start but one that wasn't exactly perfect.

Here's hoping we answer these questions in similar fashion.

Each game should give us a better idea of where this team is. Though each week there seem to be other questions coming up.

Pre Week 1 blank slate
Post Week 1 injuries are back we're screwed at corner, couldn't blow out the Lions, weak vs the run

Pre Week 2 can this secondary stop the young speedy WRs of the Eagles, can they contain Hurts?
Post Week 2 they won the 2 games everyone thought they should win, can they beat legit teams?

Pre Week 3 Will injuries finally catch up to them vs good teams? Who's going to run the ball? Can they beat elite NFL QBs?

We'll find out a lot about this team Sunday night but if they win...odds are people will simply point to the Packers defensive struggles and have more questions for us when we play Seattle - can they stop Wilson and that offense with the corners they have?

It will keep going for a while and I'm fine with that. I don't know if people will call us pretenders this year but I hope people keep doubting us while we keep winning.

I sure hope it's not a shootout because that would stack the odds in GB's favor BUT I will say that it was pretty much a shootout for the Packers vs the Lions early in that game and the Lions weren't struggling to keep up and I'd say 49ers offense >>>> Lions.

As i said above nobody would put Jimmy over Aaron but our defense is head and shoulders better than what they're putting out there right now...although I'd love to poach their 2 corners in Alexander and Stokes.

On Sunday it will 615 days since we were last able to attend a meaningful game at Levis. We've been caged up like animals. The place will be absolutely rockin Sunday Night! Can't f**ken wait!!

Because of the lack of contact and practice time during the offseason and barely playing the starters during the preseason, September games are basically preseason games.

We're about to find out about our team and how this season is going to go and if we are good enough to compete in the NFCW, shortly.
The first half of the Eagles game was a wake up call for the offense. Whatever rust they had was gone in the second half when they responded.

Not worried. Just no more injuries.

That's how bad I thought the team played against the Eagles. It was the Pittsburgh game all over again without all the turnovers.

But how are you gonna say our fans are over confident and then say we will win at 50%.
