Any running back coming off the street can be a star in an instant. Coach puts people in the right position. I'm sure we'll find some hungry back that will make a name for himself ASAP.
IF Bell is in Balty's PS, can't we sign him ?

Isnt Bell a me first guy ? Not sure if management wants that influence on the young guys who have good chemistry
I'm surprised at how high the confidence level is for any no name RB. Let's not forget they have to pass block too. Ask Steve how that can go.

Breida, Mostert, Hasty, Wilson.....all no name RB's. Kyle doesn't need name brand guys back there.

BELL would be dumb to NOT straighten up act here.. it could be his last... what else could he want.. a very good team, a good running scheme.. great organization.. and he can also be a feature back for this year...

Agree. Maybe the pro personnel department can try out some Olympic sprinters that happened to play football. Maybe find a diamond in the rough like another Mostert.

I'm sure we can pick up an effective rb at Arby. Our running game is effective because of team blocking scheme and effort.

As far as OP...Shanahan doesn't need a big name for RB. He makes them a big name.

It's certainly awesome how industrious Shanny is with B- backs. I too am as impressed as anyone. His ability to get pro production out of questionable talent speaks volumes about the effectiveness of his plays. I'm just saying at some point you have to at least be curious what some elite talent would look like charging through some of those xxl holes were all seeing out there. I just want to see more games like 2019 NFCchampionship and personal to capitalize fully on the fruits of our schemes. He does great with ok, what would he do with great? If Gurly could be had on the cheap ,as a situational back that's intriguing . I'm sure Lynch is keeping his eyes open in the event a RB becomes available on the cheap for whatever reason. I still haven't forgiven our FO for letting M.Lynch go to the seahags. We were trying to play "smash mouth " football and let him slip through our fingers when he even said he wanted to come here , I think they gave up a fourth rnd pick for beastmode I can't even think about him and Gore as a 1 -2 punch. . Shoot just not having him play for the seahags alone would have gotten a ring for our boys

Dude has arthritic knees. Would be a terrible decision.

What it comes down to is money.

Pay for elite blocking...Juice, Kittle, T-Will. Use cheaper backs.

Or it's pay for an elite RB and he makes his own holes. Same production one could argue.

I agree I would love to see an elite back with elite blocking. But this team can't afford both and have pay an elite LB and an elite DE,
and an elite QB( ).

Hire Gire
The "We can plug anybody in" needs to stop here. Our running game looked abysmal last game and now we are literally signing people off the street. I guess now will be the time we learn how true that is
