He may be old, and slow.... But he is reliable, durable, can block with the best of them, has high football IQ, and hits the hole hard. I know people say he isn't a fit in the offense but I disagree.

Breida is 3rd string Buffalo. He would be my target but maybe I'm just a homer from when he was here before.

He was so fragile when he was here it is highly unlikely Kyle would take a chance on him again. The theme of "availability is the best ability" resulted in the Lance trade-up. The Patrick signing sends a message.

The pivot point is how long Hasty and Sermon will be out. If Sermon clears protocol his week, the pressure will be off. I hate to give up a draft pick for a guy we may only need for a game or two.

He fell off hard after those early weeks of 2019, not to mention he caught a severe case of fumbleitis

Weird thing is you're most likely looking for a RB you can get rid during the season... when you have five backs hurt, and four of those five are going to be back within a couple of games... who do you bring in, and would those guys come in knowing their stay will be shorter than the season.
