Likely could be had for a conditional 6th/7th and almost certainly would be an upgrade on Sermon
This is ridiculous. Make the trade for mack. Inassume he is fully healthy. It isn't that hard. Your 3rd round pick is a bust. Make it happen.

I would still make an effort to see if Gillmore is available and what the cost is. Even if he's not ready until week 7 he's as close to a shut down CB that would be available to us this late into the season and would instantly shore up our biggest hole.

I mean all I heard all off-season is we are a SB team and we kept Jimmy because of our SB aspirations. SB or bust this season right? If that is the case, you do whatever it takes to go for it all this season and those two moves would definitely help

How much can Mack be had for? I think that's the question.

If it's a third or fourth rounder, do we really want to part with that when our RB situation will be healthier in the next month and, debatably, Mack will not be that much of an upgrade over Mitchell and Hasty?

No. They already don't have any 1sts for the next two years. No need for panic moves unless you can get someone with a late conditional pick.

Yeah, but we're NOT Super Bowl or Bust. The Rams are Super Bowl or Bust.

I'm not saying we're not trying to win a Super Bowl… But as an organization, the 49ers are trying to be competitive this year, yes, but they also want to be competitive every year a la the Ravens or Steelers.

Good call!

I'm not confident we have the ammo to do the deal.

He wants a big fat contract on top of being trade...plus we have no idea if he's actually healthy and in football shape.

No more giving up legit draft picks for what is probably a one yr rental...if we're giving up picks time to go young.
