With what draft picks?

Until they get a really good corner, this team will be vulnerable to those deep passes from any QB/WR combo that has chemistry. It only takers a couple of bombs per game to turn things around. A pass rush helps but it looks like the officials are going to allow more holding this year in an effort to protect the QBs even more. I've watched a few games and it seems like there has been fewer holding penalties this year than in the past.

I disagree, what the 49ers really need to take this defense to elite is a ball hawking Safety like a Ed Reed or Earl Thomas. Sure those aren't easy to come by but Jimmie Ward is just not gonna change his game and become that any time soon.

None of those are easy asks. Simply put our best corner is unreliable and we foolishly depended on him. We will pay the price but Im hopeful that our rookies will survive this trial by fire. They will be taken to school and tested each week now that this is on film. It will be up to the pass rush, notably anyone not named Bosa to step up and for our offense to score and take pressure off 0f the D. Im.hoping to see us take more advantage of positional matchups. Very few defenses should be able to cover Kittle, Aiyuk, Samuel, AND go 8 in the box to stop the run all game.
they can when your qb can't throw the ball everywhere on the field. anything outside of the numbers is pointless to defend

On that final drive I distinctly remember seeing Kittle being covered by Cambell a journeyman LBer and Jimmy forced the ball into a triple team on Deebo. s**t like that is inexcusable I'm hoping that the all 22 shows that Jimmy made the correct decision

Unfortunately this is true. Jimmy can't hit the out throws. He probably sails them 10 yards out or his high balls will prevent our guys from getting both feet in bounds.

How many circus catches do our receivers need to make ? I'm just glad none of them have been hurt with those hospital throws over the center and high.

makes sense.

Think the Giants will take Aaron Banks for Saquan?

Toss a 4th out there for a young CB. They can't draft with a damn anyway…
CJ Henderson traded to Panthers for 3rd, 5th and Dan Arnold... WTH.

Yeah I saw that and I was like couldn't we have beaten that offer? An average TE and a swap of picks.

John Lynch is no Farhan Zaidi. Trades need to come to him.
The way I see it is that we have made our bed with the trades we've made.

We are going to rely on mid round draft picks for a long time, so let's get Lenoir and Ambry Thomas up to speed, take our lumps and get them ready to contribute ASAP.

As for the RB's, it's a temporary issue, we have depth, a great scheme and talent, we just had a lot go down at the same time.

There's no need to panic, it was one game against a team that's been in the last 2 Championship games, with the reigning MVP a future HOF QB, and we lost to a last second FG.

Considering our current depleted draft capital, I wouldn't want to be trading any of it away for something unproven.

Agreed.

Dontae Johnson may be our third corner against Seattle. We're going to need to do something soon.

That would be a good trade for both teams. The Niners might needs to throw in something more but Barkley can't help the Giants running behind one of the worst O lines in the league.

Why would the Giants want a player though? They probably want picks. That team is going nowhere.

And a 4th rd draft pick is proven?
