Do we need to make an aggressive trade

Need to? Yes. Can we? No

With what draft picks?

Toss a 4th out there for a young CB. They can't draft with a damn anyway…

Considering our current depleted draft capital, I wouldn't want to be trading any of it away for something unproven.

I agree. I also wonder how much help any DB that could be had for a mid round draft pick would be. Most teams aren't going to trade a top level DB this early in the season and they sure aren't going to do it for anything less than a 2nd rounder.
Keep an eye on the Cameron Dantzler situation deteriorating. Seems like the most realistic chance at a cheap CB with upside for a day 3 pick. Eventually.
Need a Corner if we're gonna compete. Rodgers went half a field in 2 plays and stole the game from us last night and we knew exactly what they needed to do and they were still able to do it
I want to know the health of Gareon Conley and Kevin Tolliver. Both are solid and cost nothing but a contract.

And a 4th rd draft pick is proven?

Why would the Jags have taken a 4th when they got a 3rd for him even if they had to give up a 5?

I disagree, what the 49ers really need to take this defense to elite is a ball hawking Safety like a Ed Reed or Earl Thomas. Sure those aren't easy to come by but Jimmie Ward is just not gonna change his game and become that any time soon.

Safety isn't a issue here…when you line up DJ or a 5th rd rookie on Adams it's show over.

I was wrong about not needing more CB help when we spoke…I still think reaching for a RG over Asante Samuel Jr was a huge mistake.

But I thought Ward takes away the deep pass?? I could've sworn the deep pass was killing the defense last night or am I wrong??

Without looking at the all 22 it looked like we switched to 2 deep safeties after halftime. We got beat by single high a lot and that's the kinda coverage people were excited for when Ryan's was talking about being more aggressive.

The defense last night was opposite of "aggressive". lol I'd say "scared" is a better word. But yah, that's what we were hearing all off season how Ryans wants to make his mark on defense and be more aggressive.......then proceeds to re-sign all of Saleh's players!!!

Sorry I just can't stand soft ass defenses like last night.

I'm with you my man I love good defense. I don't know how we don't just double Adams all game and force someone else to beat us.

My thoughts exactly, time after time catch after catch we were seeing Davante Adams being covered one on one like he was nothing to worry about. Treating his ass like JJ Stokes when he was torching the defense like his name was ummm yah Davante Adams.

Now what in the actual f**k is the secondary gonna do this upcoming week with Metcalf and Lockett coming to town!!!!

Get torched & scorched to a cinder. But the good news is Seattle's defense sucks too but it will take until the 3 or 4th Q for the O to get going good and then it's too late. Hope I'm incorrect.
I think it is kind of late to be looking into making a big move. Not as much salary cap room, and not much draft capital to really part with. The move I wanted to make was actually in the past draft. I was hoping to see us move back into the later part of the 1st round to grab either Caleb Farley or Travis Ettienne. Farley was more of a need, but I admit Ettienne was a draft crush. I think he is an insanely ideal fit for a zone run scheme.

And I'd take either of them over the combo of Aaron Banks and Trey Sermon!

There is no one to trade for
Sign Richard Sherman. He is better than most of the CBs on our roster. He would of made a big difference in last night's game. He isnt as fast as he use to be but davante was owning our CBs within the first 15 yards with flat and out routes. That is something Sherman would have taken out of the GB playbook.

As for CB, i dont think we need a big trade but there are a few small-medium trades that we can make to bolster our RB group

Exactly. At the minimum, Sherman would've prevented Rodgers from going half the field in 30 seconds. You need a veteran presence in that situation. Need to sign SHERMAN ASAP

Gotta have something to trade, my man.

Would love to see Armsteads contract off the books

Armstead is playing well this year.

Dantzler could likely be had for peanuts
