Poona Ford and Jarran Reed have kicked their asses in recent years. Fortunately, Reed is gone. But I haven't been following their roster or watching their games, so I have no clue who they replaced him with. Poona Ford is still there, so expect a battle up the middle.

Defense is middle of the pack currently. Assuming LA wins and we win, division will look like this after week 4:

1. LA 4-0
2. SF 3-1 (1-0 in div)
3. AZ 3-1 (0-1 in div)
4. SEA 1-3

Nice post. If we just had our 3rd string rb playing GB or our cb off the street in Norman we are 3-0. Pretty great considering we had a FB taking handoffs. When was the last time a team did that as much as we did? TB with Alstott? To think, I felt bad for the Ravens losing Peters and their top 3 rbs.....Well the niners lost a better player in Verrett plus other cbs AND our 1st 4 rbs

Even relatively healthy we are a playoff team

In 2019 weeks 1-3 Witherspoon looked borderline probowl!

I never thought he was horrible, just bad awareness at times. He'd be near the ball but a tick late

Might have been said already...this is the first day game at Levi's the Niners have played vs. the Seahawks with Garoppolo as starting QB. He did get into that 2017 day game (his first action on the Niners) at the very end of it after Beathard got injured and then Garoppolo threw the last-second TD pass.

With Garoppolo, the Niners haven't lost two in a row. Wilson and the Seahawks haven't lost three in a row.
