If practice intensity is like a game, that looks like a loss to me.

Cause Lance looked THAT good last sunday?
because jimmy will still be hurting...
Honestly after how last year's Miami game went it would be borderline criminal if we played Garoppolo with the bye week coming up.
Different injury but if it was bad enough for Garoppolo to give way to Lance...then no way should he be playing with limited reps in practice vs a division rival right before our bye week.
Yes there are things with Trey you're risking in terms of rookie mistakes but you're also getting Arizona to have to defend against a guy they don't have a lot of tape on and someone who can make things happen with his legs...while also helping our run game open up more. Not ideal that it's on the road but Arizona isn't KC or Seattle when it comes to noise levels. I feel like our fans in Arizona get louder than their guys do in some of those games.
Our fans in Arizona get louder than our fans in Santa Clara

6 receivers with 15 or more catches including a TE and RB against our DB's, fast tempo offense, rookie QB, team can't play at a high level in all three phases, 1 offensive receiving weapon, their pass rush against our pass protection, actual home field advantage, etc.

Lol pretty much.
Their offense is gonna be a handful. Our only chance is for our DBs to just try and go out there and make some plays on the ball and our run game needs to be on point.
If we can get some TOs, run the ball really well, I think we chance to keep the game interesting.

I think Lombardi is onto something, Lance should come out throwing deep, which he's more comfortable with. Playing ball control with the short passing game isn't Lance's game, as of right now. Hopefully the offense is entertaining, but I fully expect calamari and company to s**t all over our defense.

That wasn't a bad suggestion at all. The very point of throwing short is getting your young QB into a comfortable rhythm to build on. If this is Trey's comfort level, do that. Then the short game may come later.

I don't see how a defense that practices against Kyler every day is going to be awestruck and confused defending against Lance.
There's no hidden advantage for us at all, however hopeful.
That said, uncertainty, no film, any given Sunday, etc.

I got to see the entire Rams/AZ game as central coastal CA is now firmly RAMS, LAKERS, DODGERS. We didn't even have radio coverage here of our game. But what i did see was Kyler take the LA defense and make a mockery of it. Rarely did Donald get a sniff of Kyler. And the DEs made the very same mistake we have made in times past of streaking in for Kyler and he escapes. Why LA didn't try and contain, who knows. But they didn't. And then once Kyler breaks contain, he' s gone. Nobody in this league is going to catch him.
Which brings up Sun. Hopefully Demeco is planning to pen Kyler in and contain him. Because once he gets around your DEs, it is over. Either huge pass play or huge running play. I hope i know what i see on Sun…but will believe it WHEN i see it. No sacks, just contain.
one other thing…the AZ D is for real. Their big guy, is unstoppable. I think he lines up at left DE, but he also lines up as DT. So it's either McG or Mack who gets him and nobody on LA's OL could contain him. Hope kyle has schemed around that.
What big guy? AZ D doesn't seem too crazy, middle of the road in many categories, one of the worst run defenses.
They are top 10 in PPG though so we need to run the ball & no turnovers!
I'm blocking on his name, but i think it's Chandler Jones. And we could't keep him out of the backfield last time we played them. Guy is huge, tall, and quick. He killed the Rams OL. Usually at DT but hurt LA from out wide also. First offensive series , no question you will know who i am talking about.
