trent williams just told the media he has no problems with the rook with how he moved the offense up and down the field, with his arm and with his legs.

What else was gonna say lol?

... either say that or join SKITTLES in the IR for giving up a THUMBS UP..

Wasted effort by the defense. I don't understand why Kyle didn't just take the points when we were in field goal range? I understand that Arizona's offense is explosive, but the defense was keeping them in the game.

That last touchdown basically ended the game. You kick a FG on the 1st 2 4th attempts, it's 6-10 game at the half. There was 7 minutes left on that 4th down play. If you pin AZ back, maybe that last score is a field goal instead of a TD, or maybe the 49ers stop them like they did for most of the 2nd half. The Cards were 3-10 on 3rd down.

Just bad coaching decisions IMO.

Nevertheless a 4th down attempt with that average. Shanny is not the sharpest young HC in the league. It's his last name why he got this job. He ain't no Mike!

How many QB draws today that were sniffed out. How many runs on first down that got nothing? No playaction. No rollouts, bootlegs?

Then we have dumb ass plays with so much motion our own team is confused and we get penalties. This is a joke and I am not entertained.

Mitchell had 43 yards on 9 carries. That's almost 5 yards a carry and yet he rarely touched the ball in the 2nd half.

And for what he did in ATL but that team was also stacked. Imagine if we had Brady or Rogers for the last 3 or 4 years

Well, he could have said what the other vets were saying. That its jimmys position to lose, and not over an injury. Most players will side with the vet, not the wet behind the ears rookie.

Jimmy would have gotten sacked like 10 times in this game. Trey Lance using his legs bailed him out and I cant believe we are going back to Garoppolo

Defense only giving up 17 we would have won with Jimmy.

Not so fast - although I wanted Trey in the draft, I've also been in
Garoppolo' corner … lately, because he wears the colours.

With the way JJ Watt feasted on 'The Glinch who Stalled Drives',
it felt as if every flag thrown against the offence was, went a little
something like this: "Holding on # 69,10 yard penalty repeat said
down" !!!

History tells us that in all probability, Jimmy would have:
  • had at least a fumble
  • if not two
  • one of which could lead to a "Scoop & Score
  • or given the Cards offence a short field
  • compiled yards for loss, due to contain
  • at least 2 sacks

Choose Your Poison

Double thank you! Made no sense being a game manager with the play calling. You take the points where u can get them. If anything we could have won 17-14 or something like that. We did learn AZ isnt a power house though.

Worst coach somehow managed the best record in the league.

He was on the hot seat coming into the season. Shoulda lost to the Vikings, could have lost today.

Wtf happened to "the playbook remains the same for both Qb's"???

it looked like we stole Carolina's Cam Newton playbook. Completely stupid calls
It is what it is. This years team is good but not good enough to beat playoff teams. They are inconsistent. They are injured. And they are receiving middling QB play in a league that demands more.

Trey Lance performed okay, all things considered. It is clear that he isn't ready to run a proper passing offence in the NFL yet, but I am extremely encouraged by his ability to extend plays, his ability to get yards from nothing, and his ability to scramble with his eye downfield. The also didn't have a lot of false starts which is good.

The playbook is the same for both QB's, he was just calling much different plays out of it, simplifying things as much as possible for Lance and letting him use his legs to try and keep the Cardinals from completely crowding the line.

If that's what you got from that comment then whatever…kid was running for his life out there getting yards.
Trey Lance looks like an inexperienced version of Colin Kaepernick

Perhaps but I would play Lance. Over time that's the smarter move.
Drives would have ended much sooner with Jimmy. I dont believe he would have done much more.

That seems unlikely given how adept Jimmy is with the short to mid passing game. He's also much quicker to get the ball out, with the 2nd fastest delivery in the NFL after Brady. If Jimmy is good at anything, it's leading long sustained drives and keeping the team close enough to win the game if they are down. Trey went 3 and out after the fumble recovery near midfield which was a killer.

I'm more mad at the decisions to go for it than the playcalling. They preach complimentary football, but go for it twice from midfield. Even if we convert we still got another 50 yards to go to get a TD.

Kyle was a little too desperate there. It reminds me of how he was his first year coaching when he made calls that were too aggressive offensively.
