If we can't get the run game going there is no way we even finish with a winning record, let alone playoffs. This offense ceases to function without a run game.

Yes. We get some guys back, we're still winning 10-11 games.

If they keep up the penalties, s**tty play calling, drops and bad passes that have cost the games then they may not win again.

if they play to potential they're in the playoffs IMO

LOL.

We were 2 game management errors away from beating GB (we had 12 seconds on the play clock our last 2 plays)

We were 11 special team points, 1 Robbie Gould freak injury (1missed XP and a FG) as well as a practice squad player fumbling a KO Not once but TWICE on the same play for the easy 10 yard Seattle td drive) from beating Seattle

We were 5 offensive holding calls and Atrocious refereeing (safety muchhhhhh) and 1 yard away from beating the overrated Cardinals WITHOUT Jimmy G Verrett Mostert Greenlaw and most importantly KITTLE who would of made all the difference even just as a blocker on the 4 missed 4th downs. We were in Cardinals territory 8 of our 9 drives

So enough with all the doom and gloom. We are that close to 5-0 and should be. Look at all the injuries and freak situations and non calls it took for us to lose the last 3 games. We are going to make it in as a wildcard imo

Respectfully, none of this is good news, and clearly points to the losing record.
Flip the coin, team does stuff to lose games.
It's a trend.

Against 2 great teams and the Seahawks team that was at full strength.....not a bad trend and with time I'm sure the penalties get cleaned up a bit. It's not like Sly will get injured in pre game warmups like Gould so there's that

I don't think we're going to make it. Too many good teams ahead of us in the standings.
14-3
Ariz
Rams
Dallas
GB
TB

and 2 spots left for SF, Sea, Min, Car, Saints

its all about injuries so anything can happen. We'd be sitting at 5-0 with a relatively healthy team so if the Rams or Ariz suffer major injuries like we have they're done. After all we have among the best depth in the league
We will be lucky to sniff 3rd in the division. Lol playoffs

Lol this
I think some of you need to take a closer look at the schedule.....

Colts, Bears, Cardinals, Rams, Jaguars, Vikings, Seahawks, Bengals, Falcons, Titans, Texans, Rams. How can anyone look at that schedule and think "losing season"??? None of those non divisional teams are better than the 49ers. We could easily be 4-1 right now. We also won't lose every divisional game... thats not how the NFL works. This is a 10-7 schedule realistically but will that be good enough for a wildcard?
Yes
Definitely!
