Then, fix it! They need the O-line to play better and if needed play an extra lineman. While Mitchell is not Mostert he is a good back, if the line can punch some decent holes, he can make some big plays. If he was still injured then I wouldn't argue with you cos the rest of the available backs are crap.
There's your answer. Just fake a Lance injury so Jimmy can get his job back and nobody can question if Shanny made the right decision
Basing it on the balding spot in the middle of Trey Lances head at 21 and terrible look of that head band, it's time to bring Mullins back.

The calf injury was fake anyway. It was the only way for Shanahan to demonstrate to fans that Lance was not ready with the ability to go back to Jimmy after a game.

/conspiracy theory

I know it must have crossed a lot more minds than just mine when Jimmy was conveniently out at halftime that the extent of the "injury" might be exaggerated or non existent.

So that's why they're faking the Lance injury now. Easy way to go back to Jimmy without having the fans get up in arms

Mitchell averaged 5 yards a carry yesterday. Gotta look right at KS for not running it more

he looks like that asian guy that got his head bashed in with Negans' bat on The Walking Dead.

If Jimmy started yesterday, we would have won. Trey looked good to me yesterday, but he still has a lot to learn. We can compete with Jimmy.

jimmy isnt big enough to injure our oline when he rolls up on them.

prolly his shoulder popped out again
Reminds me of what John Harbaugh and Ravens went through with Flacco/Jackson
One wonders why Brady and Rodgers were considered. And then trade a lot to get a rookie with upside.

All the while saying Jimmy is the man. Burnt toast is still burnt, even if you scrape off the burnt part.

I hate it, but I can see it already we are going to be starting Sudfeld and some scrub off the street soon.

Part is player execution and part is Kyle's play calling. Players are getting killed out there.

Simplify the game and stop trying to be so damn tricky with motion and WR sweeps and QB runs in between the tackles. And Juice direct snaps.

Start Jimmy, save Lance for next year when he doesn't have to be a RB. And if Jimmy goes down again, make the kid be a QB or start Sudfeld.

Our seasons become kind of comical at this point. We had way over exaggerated expectations and thought we had two good QBs. The fact is we're very average in an extremely tough division.

The Alex mack thing isn't working out. Lynch always brings in second rate FAs and we always pump them up like we got a steal. Kwon was good not great. Jerick McKinnon was a joke. Emmanuel Sanders was good for that moment in time. That was the best mid-season move he's ever done. He wasn't an elite receiver or anything like that. The Buckner trade and kinlaw pick is making me nervous.

I could go on and on, but shanny and Lynch are hanging on by a thread at this point because of the 2019 SB run season. I really like Shannay and Lynch as men too. Shanny needs to humble himself and let people help his offense and gameplan. It's clear to me he is running the show and is probably over working himself. He put so much pressure on himself because of Lance. Let the coaches you hired help you.

I'll finish this with something positive. This bye week is huge and I'm not giving up on him. If he's truly a great coach, he will turn this thing around week 6. The team will come out clicking again. He needs to show that he's better than Cliffbar Kingsbury. That guy sucks imo. He needs to keep outsmarting his best friend McVay and stomp Seattle next time. I am from the Philly area and witnessed Andy Reid always make great adjustments after the bye. He was a master of it when his Eagles were 2-4 some seasons. He'd rip off 8 in a row. Let's go coach be great
