Assuming Jimmy Garoppolo is healthy after the bye, what should we do?

lol. the 8-8 Chicago Bears earned the 7th seed last season.
Stack up some more wins with Jimmy as the starter at the helm, but sprinkle in a lot more Trey throughout the game... thinking like 6-8 plays.
Start Jimmy. Trey isn't ready
Interesting to see how many people are willing to throw away next year as well as this year. We aren't going to the playoffs with either QB this year. And if we go back to jimmy then we are essentially throwing away next year as well.

If Jimmy started yesterday, we would have won. Trey looked good to me yesterday, but he still has a lot to learn. We can compete with Jimmy.

If jimmy started yesterday he would have been sacked 17 times. JJ watt would have killed him.

Jimmy has never been sacked anywhere near close to those numbers. Lol

it's ridiculous to say this season is over. the team could easily be 4-1 right now.

So, "Start Trey because our Oline still sucks!" Amirite?

I say develop Trey... Three games back in this division, I think we need to face up to the facts that we may very well be done now. Arizona is for real... the Rams aren't gonna lose too many more either. Let's say that we go on a run and go 8-4 from here on out... that still only equates to a 10-7 record and that simply ain't gonna cut it for a wildcard berth in the NFC.

We've seen Jimmy. We KNOW damned well what he can and can't do. We know his strengths and weaknesses. Personally I seen enough from Trey to say start him and develop him and therein lies the rub.... One... I don't think Kyle knows HOW to call a game for Trey's skillset and TWO.. Kyle has never truly developed a QB... He's ruined them. CJ Beathard had all the tools to be sucessful and Mullens was basically a clone of Jimmy G and they are both shells of their former selves. The one QB that Kyle DID have ago at devoloping... that's right.. none other than RG3.

And we've all seen how THAT turned out.

Kyle has been our head coach for 5 seasons now and has a losing record...and bar one season, all the non Superbowl teams have been VERY bad. I am not suggesting that he be fired right now, but if this team does not show SIGNIFICANT improvement, then I think that HAS to be the next logical step.

AZ sucks lol would've gotten blown out had they played any other team that wasn't in the bottom 10 of the league

Start Jimmy if he's healthy. For optics sake, I don't want to see him lose his job due to injury. If the offense continues to struggle with Jimmy, then bench Jimmy at some point in the latter half of the season. I'd rather see the offense struggle with Lance than struggle with Jimmy.
Play Jimmy

I don't see the point of going back to Jimmy. We're not making the playoffs and even if we do squeak in as a 7th seed, we'll likely get blown out in the WC round. Is a humiliating playoff loss and not having a pick in the first 50 picks of the draft worth it if it means delaying Trey's development?

That's also assuming that Jimmy remains healthy the rest of the year, which doesn't feel likely. Especially since Jimmy knows this is his last year here and no longer seems willing to play through even the most minor of injuries.
I say move forward with Trey now. If we can stay 0.500 by week 10, then there is an opportunity that Trey may settle in a bit and help us go on a run the final 7 games.
