You cannot trade Kittle, it would cause another Buckner situation. Shanahan & Lynch would immediately lose any credibility they built with the players. Once Jimmy is gone we will have Lance on his rookie contract. Even Joe Staley has said the Buckner trade has effected the organization. If you do it again. There will be a mutiny & a Gruden & Khalil Mack situation

Nobody would complain if the player Buckner was traded for was helping them win games. It's just when they're out of week with knee soreness, and under perform when they do play that animosity starts building.

That's not true, Joe Staley was there an said it directly. Those words came out of his mouth. That so many veterans were shocked an upset about someone who was the leader of the entire team along with him.

So Warner, Kittle, Greenlaw and Deebo are all tradable? Want to get rid of foundational players to get draft picks to hopefully get foundational players as good as the ones we traded away. This kinda logic gives me a good laugh

Exactly. I swear we need to do an age check. But it's also insulting to teenagers for me to assume a teenage mind produced these ideas

Cortez is one of the biggest jokers here. I can't believe many of you guys take this kid seriously. He gets off reactions

I posted later that the 49ers really only have 8 truly talented players.

Bosa
Kittle
Warner
Juice
Williams
Deebo
Greenlaw
Armstead

When I made the comment I meant that bosa is the only one untradeable. With kittle, Warner and armstead contracts, they are expendable WITH the right compensation. Bosa is not. At this point the niners need to recoup picks lost for depth.

If you trade starters away then those draft picks ain't for depth. SMH

Look at Khalil mack and Amari cooper. Everyone laughed at the raiders when they traded them. Looking back, it was the right thing to do. Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet. Especially with a rebuild.

Bears received
Khalil Mack
2nd round pick Cole Kmet
7th rounder

Raiders received
1st round Josh Jacobs
6th rounder
1st round Damon Arnette
3rd round Bryan Edwards

Cowboys received
Amari Cooper

Raiders received
1st round pick Jonathan Abram

so you think the Raiders won with those trades? I have news for you
https://raiderswire.usatoday.com/2021/07/27/raiders-named-big-loser-in-amari-cooper-trade-from-2018/

https://www.theringer.com/platform/amp/nfl/2021/10/8/22715342/raiders-khalil-mack-trade-jon-gruden-legacy

so yes look at the Mack and Cooper trade as examples of what a dumb front office does.

The season does look lost and we looked awful in a number of ways Sunday night, but you don't fire sale after 6 games. Especially guys you can't easily replace. If we aren't a winning team by November of 2022 I think Kyle is gone.
Amari Cooper hasn't passed 70 yards receiving and hasn't had more than 3 catches in the last 5 weeks. He's become average at best, he's always injured, and has taken a back seat to lamb. There is a reason why the raiders are doing well. Sometimes we overvalue our talent. I'm not saying go all out texans, but it doesn't hurt to listen to offers. I was probably the angriest when the niners traded Buckner.

The Raiders spent a top pick on Henry Ruggs. Jonathan Abrams is one of the worst Safeties in football. Cowboys are doing really well also.

I suppose it's worked but I question the wisdom of any fire sale in the NFL anyway. I mean, you're giving up proven talent for draft picks at this point and if you're not consistently drafting as well as you should be, what's the point?

It isn't like a baseball fire sale, which also doesn't always work. But at least with that you're getting prospects in return who have some level of professional development and experience against guys who were deemed worthy of maybe being big league ballplayers one day. Versus the NFL draft where the top prospects were still playing against a vast majority of guys who after their college days are over will look for a real world job rather than look to the draft or even just a NFL camp. Some of them maybe wind up in the CFL or some Arena League or something.

Lets just say I think the raiders had the right idea. The execution sucked. You need to draft well. Although I like Jacobs and edwards

Jacobs and Edwards are solid as f**k. Their value doesn't come close to an edge rusher like Mack. And why do you think our Front Office would execute better with the draft when we can't consistently draft in the first 3 rounds.

Youre right, which is why I said bosa was untouchable.

I don't have any faith that this front office would execute any better. I was doing a dream hypothetical that if we were to reset with a new front office. One can only dream.

We have already seen how trading a very good, very popular player can hurt the team (DeFo), duplicating that stupid decision with Kittle will only make things worse.

kittle is a leader. though i have concerns why he was in a booth and not on the sldelines with his team mates last night as the ship sunk,,. i get he is also not playing.. but yes.. we already have a lack of leaders in the locker room.. removing kittle would just be another shovel onto the heap.

Wouldn't you rather be in a booth then be in a rain storm for 3 hours?

Nah, f**k that, put me down there with my boys. Good for morale. Nothing like being soaked down to your underwear just so you could be down there with your buddies! Plus, I am sure Kittle can get a towel and might have a very nice ass warmer in his car/truck.

he should have been on the sidelines.. warner has regressed.. the only one i would keep is bosa. but hell.. even if we traded people. i would not trust kyle or lynch to do anything with said draft choices.. if we did trade some guys the only hope we would have is if the niners are late coming up to the podium on draft day and we miss out on drafting guys. it would save us the pain of seeing guys with knee issues and red flags get drafted by us. then someone can fire lynch and kyle. and put together a group and buy the team from dips**t york. give jh the biggest contract in the history of the world and give him bill walsh type power.
