Just trade Jimmie Ward and Tartt. How about getting some Safeties who will make some plays.
Everybody but Trey (maybe Bosa) should be available for trade.

If there's a team desperate for pass rush help, maybe Dee Ford. He has some worth but he is paid too much (UFA in 2023). It'd be a cap dump for the 49ers so the other team is a playoff contender with a sense of desperation.
Dee Ford + 4th rounder for 3rd rounder.
Something like that. Cap relief is the motivation for the 49ers.

I've actually been playing with the idea of trading Kittle in my head. Now I love the dude, but his health is almost as unreliable as Jimmy's. Moving him might be a great way to recoup one of the firsts we gave up for Trey. With Deebo emerging as a true #1 WR, Kittle's importance in the offense has lessened.

This x 1000. Brittle always hurt
Kittle is hurt so often because of who our QB is. He is asked to do more than what any TE should be asked to do because of Jimmy's limitations. The hospital balls Jimmy has thrown him doesn't help either.

Not sure why folks don't see that and he also has to play a much more aggressive blocking tight end because all we can do is run or throw a five yard pass (on a good day)

He can play his Jimmy love all he wants but I bet he secretly prays for the day Lance is in and up in play ability.

And that holds true for all the YAC boys who probably prey for a deeper pass someday.

And Kyle may not suck so bad when he can have a different QB. I call out James and I can't be convinced this isn't a whole new less injured offense until I see Trey in after a year (not a week)

If I am wrong I will gladly eat crow but just wait until the QB position is on fire (in a good way)

Who I would look to trade:
- Jimmy G. I appreciate all he did for this team but the future is now. Time to turn the keys over to Lance and if we can get anything for Jimmy then by all means, take it.
- Juice. Best fullback in the game but we don't utilize him enough like we should. Wasting his career here. He might be able to fetch us a 4th maybe.
- Trent Williams. If not the best LT in the game, then definitely top 3. Could be valuable to a contender who is lacking a good tackle.
- Alex Mack. Probably won't get much for him but maybe he provides leadership and stability to a playoff team needing an upgrade at center.
- McGrinchey. Get rid of this bum. Dude can't pass block worth a damn.
- Armstead. By PFF's ratings, he is having a resurgent year. Maybe someone else in the league agrees with their ratings and thinks he's valuable.
- Ford. Shown he can still get after the QB. Could be a nice piece for a contender needing some rush off the edge.
- Ward. I guess he is solid but dude never gets any turnovers.
- Tartt. Slightly better then Ward since he makes like one splash turnover a year.
- Gould. Just makes too much money and can't stay healthy this year.

Kittle's been injury prone since college. It's who he is.
.. and here's my proposals..

... Shanny, Lance and Deebo to Houston for Watson and a 1st (as long as Watson is cleared to play and not found guilty)

.. Grappy and Glynch to Washington for 2022 second rounder

.. AA and Mostert to the Jets 2nd rounder (2022)
Well, I would ask Lynch to come out of retirement. Then, I would trade him for whatever I could get. I would then do my due diligence. I would use whatever I got for Lynch on any DB available. After doing so, I would then believe in the guys that we have.

I'd only consider trading Garoppolo, Armstead and McGlinchey. The rest I'd keep for needed depth.

Nothing realistic really comes to mind. They'll probably just stand pat.
