Continuing to start Jimmy at this point makes less than no sense. Jimmy won't be good enough against the Rams. Need to get Trey up to speed. Trade Jimmy knucklehead Lynch.
If Jimmy won't be good enough against the Ram, Trey will be worse. Guaranteed.

Jimmy is the QB until another injury or SF is eliminated from playoff contention.

Struggling Jimmy is still > Trey right now.

Facts be facts.

Anyone who thinks this team is making the playoffs should try watching the team. We may not be mathematically eliminated yet, but we aren't making the playoffs. Jimmy won't be here next year. So every game they play Jimmy, trying to pump up his trade stock, is another game we will have to live through Trey's growing pains. Why not get those out of the way THIS year so we at least have hope going into next season? If next season is the year to get reps, grow and learn, then we have to wait till 2023? Again, just to make Jimmy look good? WTF????

So your idea is you want us to experience "growing pains" during a year with no first round pick? And Trey isn't even healthy? And I don't recall "growing pains" for a bunch of QBs that sat such as Rodgers and Mahomes. So...

Saints and Seahawks are the only teams we are competing for a playoff spot with. And the Saints just lost their starting QB for the year. So maybe try looking at the landscape of the NFC before you attempt at looking like you know something.

1- We don't have a 1st rd pick next 2 years, so no idea what that has to do with anything.
2- Trey IS healthy. That's why he returned to practice and is again listed as the backup.

I get it. You bought the jersey want want to see your boy out there. I'm excited to see him out there too. But he's 21. He can learn on the bench. He will have his time. For now let's win and play the guys who give us the best chance to do so.

the 49ers are a business. a team's goal is to make profits. a team makes more profits if it makes the playoffs. if the math still shows that playoffs are possible, that's the goal. fans' opinions about whether or not it's a playoff team matter not.

But I'm just firing back at you. I suppose it would be more mature to simply go through threads until I see a response I disagree with and start launching insults, though.
