SF 49ers vs Cardinals Pregame Thread - 2021 Season Week 9

If Murray is out we should be able to really key in on the run.

this game is winnable for sure, keep the comeback coming. LFG!!!

This. All year the team seems disjointed. They haven't put together a complete game yet. NFL success is so finicky. In a matter of two weeks, we watched the Bengals dominate the Ravens, in what was supposed to be a statement game, then lose to the Jets. Its crazy.

I know there are lot of fans that are ready to pack it up for the season, but this team just needs to get "hot" at the right time. The 4 game losing streak was bad yes, IMO it was mostly self-inflicted. It was sloppy and undisciplined. Even with the disjointed-ness, we were still in all of those games. It just takes a few plays here and there, clean up a mistake and the game teethers your way.

The Packers game was especially frustrating just watching ARod chuck it up knowing he was getting a flag. It shouldn't have even come down to giving Rodgers the ball back with 0:38 secs. Jimmy's boneheaded backward pass fumble was just stupid. He def needs to be better than that, it was only 2nd and 10...but watching Aaron Jones carve up our D was pretty bad too. And with all of that, we lost by 2.

And of course that early scramble for a healthy RB only added to the sloppiness.

The defense and offense seemed to start well against the Seahawks. Jimmy gets injured, then it took a little bit for Trey to get going. We shouldn't have had to rly on Trenton Cannon to not double fumble. Then the Hawks get bailed out on 3rd and 10 with a BS PI call.

I don't have time to breakdown the rest of the games rn, but overall, the most frustrating part of this losing streak is that our opponents aren't even that good. This team just hasn't been playing well in any of the phases, for a whole game. The O would look ok, then go cold. The D would get gashed early, then tighten up. But none of it would seem continuous and complementary. Very disjointed.

All I'm saying is, they need to start putting it together. If this TEAM gets going through this next stretch of games, it can contend.
Lost 17-10 in a game we should have won even with it being Trey's first start, no rb's, no kittle. This game, Jimmy plays well, michell and wilson back at RB, Kittle's back! For them, Kyler could be out and watt who played a great game last one is also out. We win this one!

You watch the Vikings and Panthers? Those are the two other teams right now that we're trying to keep up with.

If we can get healthy, I think there's a legit chance they get a wild card spot. They play the Vikings as well, that could be a big game.

Panthers need to play TB2x, Saints, AZ, Bills, and NE this upcoming week.

Vikings got GB2x, Baltimore, LAC, LAR, and SF.

Just win baby!

Exactly I think we get the 6th (if the Saints start dropping games which I think they will) or more likely 7th seed if Kittle is healthy going forward.

Lol, the 49ers run into a wall at home. All of their wins happened on the road!!!

Wilson isn't back and Mitchell has bad ribs. But hopefully good enough and OL plays well again without Watt there. Garoppolo needs to be his 2019 Cards level. Maybe we can just tell him the game is being played in Chicago?

Gotta invite his 100 family and friends too
Need to get Kittle involved more than he was prior to his injury.
I feel a little more confident this week. Dare I say we win this week? Lol

I need some goddamn 49ers regular season action.
I'll happily take the early struggles as long as this team finds its self consistently later on playing their best as the playoffs near and they're in. I'm confident if this team is healthy playing well going on the road

Concur +2.

Now, starting this Sunday, this team needs to start winning again at home. Build on last week's win and get some momentum going.
3-5.. blow out this week
