Kyle has a no offset clause in his contract. the Yorks aren't eating Kyle's contract. he'll be given another year because of the Trey Lance investment. Lynch will be the scapegoat. i expect him to fired at season's end barring unexpected developments that may arise in the meantime.

So, who do we get to replace Lynch?

Silly Question. These guys have at least 2 years

If by 2 years you mean the end of this season and next, then yes. This losing season puts Lynch and Shanny on the hot seat. Next year they need to win with Lance or they are out.

What i said in the Shanahan thread:

Shanahan isn't going anywhere. They gave him a big extension. But he does need to step away from personnel. He can be A voice but not THE voice when making player moves. Lynch needs to be 100% in charge or bump him up and make Peters the GM. Either way Shanahan just gets to coach.

Focus, grasshoppers. Figure out who would be better.

I don't know who will be available in 2 years

Can't leave out college coaches either. We need to look at everyone.
I would reconsider Mike HOLMGREN try to hire Rex Ryan as DC I rather have season vet coaches who had success

Jed should kiss JH's behind and beg him to come back.

If this happened it would be an incredible reversal. Jed would need knee pads and chapstick though, but he could blame all of their past misunderstandings on Baalke. Baalke was the leaker after all.

We probably end up with Arizona DC. Heard it here first!

This is probably what happens if we move on. Some failed HC would be our OC like a Matt Nagy type.
NOT Harbaugh. Anyone saying we should get him back doesn't pay attention to college football because he has been ass ever since he went to UM.

We were right to go with Shanahan has a great young offensive mind. If we move off Shanny next year, we need to go with someone else who is also innovative offensively. That's the trend in the league and we need to be ahead of the curve. OC of Bills or Chiefs would come to mind. That said, Kyle gets one more year.

The Yorks love Lynch and Shanahan too much to move on from them this season, plus, they're going to want to give Shanahan a Year 2 with Trey.

Shanahan has security through at least until next season.

Right or wrong, 101% this.

But just for fun, and it would never happen, I'd love the 9ers to hire Mike Tomlin away from Pittsburgh.

Yep, even if they suck, we are stuck with them for at least another year. All we are left to do is complain like the Tomsula, Chip, and Singletary years.
