I understand the worry about paying guys who are injured or injury prone. They may, probably won't re-sign K'Waun, but I would. I'd also try & extend Ward in the offseason, he & K'Waun make the defense so much better when on the field, Ward's shown he can stay healthy. I'm hoping Lenoir, & Ambry can step up, I like how far Moseley has come, he looks much better than he did week 3.

Which deals do you think are too high? I really want someone to take a look and tell me their opinions, but not someone who isn't willing to have an open mind, which I know you have an open mind.

I'll gladly give you a critical review. And let's see if we have some in-house debates. And then in the off season, we can start looking at a couple key FA acquisitions and see what we can do there too. Just give me a hot minute to review.

Sounds good to me,
I think McKivitz is a guy that may be out of the league in a couple of years. He didn't show much last year, and several new guys (Moore, Banks and Compton) pushed him to the practice squad this year. Also take into account Skule has been on IR the whole season, and Banks has yet to even take a snap except for special teams.

He was waived and nobody claimed him. He lands on the practice squad and Kelemete gets plucked to another team, but not him.

Agreed. We have a number of JAGs on this roster. And we need to start looking at starter upgrades more than depth at this point IMHO.

I totally agree with you on your "Not in the 49ers future" section, can't find any fault in your reasoning.

On your 50/50 section: disagree with you on the following players, all others we are in agreement:
Keep - Hasty, Jeff Wilson, Arden Key, Ebukam (if he shows signs of production and promise the latter half of the season, otherwise agree, let him go); I think 49ers are going to keep Givens, Street, and Harris - as long as they stay healthy this season. I think if they do suffer some dings and injuries the latter half of this season, 49ers are ready to get rid of medically questionable players. I can see the 49ers letting them go, under their current player criteria being stricter on injuries than in the past.

Your 49ers that are a lock to be on the team in 2022:
I'd like to see if Charlie Woerner can replace Juszczyk, but that means he's also a good FB. I haven't seen Woerner being able to run the ball like Juszczyk can. I"d love the 49ers to draft Mack's replacement. I know you see Aaron banks as a Left or Right guard, and I agree with you, but in addition, I think he can play center too. He'd be the kind of center I'd like if I was running the Kyle outside/inside zone. Quick strong, and with some size to him, to be able to power-gap block as well as the quickness to go out on the outside zone run.

Nice writeup, on the 50/50 I agree about Wilson and think they keep him. Key is playing his way into a role with the team if he keeps it up. Ebukam I have a feeling they bring back and Verrett, don't count him all the way out

This was more of do they have a future, as in given multi-year deals or extended. I think Ebukam, Key will be back in 2022, I hope Ebukam can become a solid option opposite Bosa long term.

Giedi, I think Givens, Street, & Harris get 1yr deals in the offseason, Givens is a ERFA so he'll get $895K, Street is a RFA, Harris a UFA.

Alex Mack has player well. He's not physically dominant, but he's a veteran who makes our line calls, a line that has been dominant the past few weeks.

Mack is doing awesome. NO PRESSURES ALLOWED in the last 4 weeks.

Gould nailed a 52 & 53 yarder last week. That alone is phenomenal

This is a loaded roster in 2022. Specially the DLine. I don't want to lose anybody on that DLine right now - that's currently healthy and contributing.

Arden Key has made himself a ton of money in the past few months. He may be too expensive for us.

We have to sign DJ Jones and maybe Tomlinson. With Deebo and Bosa extensions, I really doubt we'll be able to keep everyone.

lol AA has been one of our best defensive players this year. He's been getting to the QB a ton these last few games when it really matters. Sometimes I don't understand your thought process…

Totally agree. Hate to Lose Arden Key. He's definitely going to be paid, hopefully by us, in 2022 -- but he's becoming a beast from the inside. And the rest of the DLine too. Impressed with Omenihu too (I think) he almost had two sacks against Dallas. Hope that by letting go and freeing up Dee Ford's cap space and Jimmy's cap space, we can keep most (and hopefully) all of them. We shall see.
