That's a hells no to Sherman! And Verrett maybe as depth.

Verrett on league minimum, nothing more, any chance of getting a long term deal worth more than $5M a yr is over.

Agree with you!
Now as with your point about Glinch, while I'd usually agree that you can restructure Glinchy's contract. I don't think I'd go in that direction considering he's now injured and has an injury history. Point being, I'd like the 49ers to avoid as much as possible players that have been significantly injured or have an injury history. Yeah, big dead cap space to be eaten, but the danger here is whether or not you want to invest time and resources onto a player that might get re-injured much easier than before. I think the 49ers really have to over-focus on health now, since they've been acquiring too many often injured players in the past, to bring back the balance to the force, so to speak.

You guys are just Sherman haters. Anyone that can sign to a team for one series then go on IR to collect a check is worth having around

inexcusable. we were told kyle and lynch would finally be the guys who could build us into a team that competes every year. built for the long term. we were a one year wonder. they believed their own press of being the best gm in football and a top five coach in the nfl. over valued the roster. made terrible free agent and draft decisions, undervalued the leadership with players who retired traded or were let go.. inept.
And, putting the starting QB on death row put the whole team in psychological limbo. Waiting for the change, players playing their worst. We're going to bad for a long time. Should Shanalynch be made to serve out the next two years for their punishment? Who of value would coach/GM the Niners without first rounders?
only some egomaniac who gets a bunch of money and is given the title of both gm and coach.. i can think of gruden and jh.. of course jh will never come back as long as jed is in charge
So now that the team is losing it's partly because Jimmy was put on "death row". What happened to the narrative that it would light a fire under Jimmy and he would have a big year?

Not bad AB. I'm not sure how you don't have Ebukam as a player to get rid of. Whatever we are paying him is too much. He is not a pass rusher. Time to cut bait on Street, Givens, and K'waun Williams as well. I'd give JV a cheap deal to rehab and see if he can come back. The guy turned down multi year deal to stay here. Let's show him some love. I'd give Mostert a cheap deal as well. .
I'd add Sherfield, Mckivitz, Hasty, and Jennings to the 50/50 list
I just like Ebukam & K'Waun, I agree Ebukam isn't cheap, maybe we get him to redo his deal, we'll see, as for KW, I think he's still a top 5 slot CB.
As for Sherfield, McKivitz, & Jennings I just feel they have too much potential, as for Hasty, I have him under tender or reserve/future deal to battle, no guarantee he makes it, I'd keep Mitchell, Wilson, & Sermon over Hasty. I'm not saying make Sherfield and/or Jennings WR3, but WR4-5 is good for them IMO, plus Sherfield is a hell of a gunner.
Williams has lost a step to me. Always missing 6 games woth a calf strain. Better to get rid of him too early than too late.

Sherman has Issues and he's not exactly young anymore. I'd prefer us to draft a CB, as well as sign one from free agency. Our next year CB depth could look something like this.
Mosely
Verrett
Williams
Lenoir
Thomas
Draft pick.....
Free agent....
Hopefully much better than this years.

Jimmy g is the obvious choice, he does nothing but manage, something Trey can do and more, not to mention would free up a ton of money for us for free agents, I would dump McGlinchey too, Moore is solid, dee ford dump, those 3 alone would allow us to sign 3 studs in free agency

First game with Hurd not being part of the team and the Niners played lights out! Ironic? I think not!

Because that worked out so well for Tampa this year, and they got one game out of him? Hard pass.

I think we should all expect the 9ers to attack free agency pretty hard this off season with the lack of draft capital and money available after they free some money up. Should be exciting!
