OBJ to the Rams........Seriously!!!!!

One question..............How the hell are they seriously doing all of this? Our guys sit on their a$$es, they don't even try. We can't even get a starting caliber CB.............all I can hope for is that OBJ brings his toxic attitude with him.

Because "win now" is contagious. The Rams have it figured out. Sign a couple of foundational players, and DO NOT gamble. Not ever. Not on draft picks and not on free agents. Save the money and the assets to get proven players. And then when they win the Super Bowl (or close to it), other great veterans tired of losing will be calling them up. "Building long term" is how you build long term mediocrity. We did that when we traded away Buckner.

I here you and I totally agree...............I just can't understand how the Rams and even the Cardinals are able to sign, trade and extend all these big contracts and we can't even resign a guy like Buckner.

Operation sabotage LA in full effect. OBJ working for us now.

Because he likely signed for the minimum because he's getting paid $4.25M from CLE as part of the restructured deal, Rams had about $3M in cap room.

As for Buckner, we were tight against the cap in 2020, had we signed him, we may have not been able to extend Warner, Kittle, re-sign Trent, extend Bosa, Deebo next year, the fact the cap went down is a huge reason.

As for the KC this KC that, or TB did this, KC had players with high base salaries to convert to bonuses to prorate them out, plus guys like Kelce, Jones, & Mahomes already were signed for the next yr before their new deals, except Jones, but he didn't get a bonus. As for TB, they signed everyone to 5yr deals that void after 2021.

For us, we had little to no cap room when the offseason was to begin until Dee & Richburg did the redoes, and we signed Trent, Juice, Jones, K'Waun, and others, but they signed with low base salaries, either just above the minimum, or the minimum. The only guys we could redo are Laken, AA, & Garoppolo, but by doing that would result in a huge loss in cap room in 2022, look at like this, say we ended up redoing Jimmy saving $18.42M, well, in 2022 that $18.42M would become dead money once JG is released, savings go from $24.895M to $6.425M.
