Our next game is SNF against Seahawks.

That SNF game has zero TV potential if the 49ers lose and our season is falling apart.

Will draw extra eyes and give them something to hype if SF wins and is back in the playoff hunt

It's been flexed out.

I blame this 100% on SEA

The Vikings are playing well and coming off a big win against their rivals. Cousins is having one of his best seasons. This will be a bigger test than the overmatched Jags or even the Rams. Kyle always finds a way to beat the Rams who don't match up well with the NIners. If the Niners win Sunday I'll be convinced they've really turned things around.

Wins and losses tend to do that. I do hope they have turned the corner also.

Statistically speaking, I think this game will test of our *defense* more than our offense. The Vikings defense is rated at the bottom half of the defensive categories, statistically. Our pass defense will definitely be tested by Cousins.

The reason I look at this game as being so important is 4 of the teams 5 wins came against bad teams. Detroit is terrible. The Jags are struggling with a rookie coach and QB. The Bears are doing what the Bears always do. The Eagles are okay now but they weren't very good when the Niners played them because they were still unsettled at QB.

It's hard to evaluate a team when they have a fairly easy schedule and aren't facing a lot of good teams. Even the Seahawks are having big issues now so that won't be the test it usually is. Outside of this game the only good teams left on the schedule are the Bengals on the road and the Rams in LA to finish the season. The Titans looked good early but they're struggling now. The Falcons and Texans aren't very good. So this is a real test of how good this team is.

Agree, and I'll just add it's hard to evaluate the team in the beginning of the season period. So many things change from year to year. It's taken a bit longer for the 49ers to settle because of the injuries at the beginning of the year, but the win vs the Rams and the next win vs the Jags seems to be indicating who the 49ers are this season. Which is very similar to 2019. I think teams ignoring the 49er run game is going to pay the price in a loss, and teams ignoring the 49er passing game is going to get gashed, defensively.

Sorry guys, just a decades old habit, and hard to break. Besides I have a few more miles on my tires than most and am immune to keeping up with hip-hop/ gangsta / rumble down gang-slang. I tried to change but it just doesn't take. I own it…my apologies.

Real spit hit me up if you need help with anything fam.

pretty sure they didn't just start doing this recently

technology and social media are making it harder for people of influence to hide what they do

imagine the amount of stuff Alabama players still get away with in 2021 because law enforcement and every resident of town doesn't want the team to suffer

in the regular season. this team gives us issues... we better not let cousins go crazy. 3 point game either way in my opinion. every game in my opinion is a must win after kyle and the team dug themselves a huge hole

I'm all for fireworks on SNF after a niners win. Burrow, Chase, Mixon, Herbert, Allen, Ekeler, Williams....that's entertainment

The 49ers are a run first team, that doesn't mean they are a good rushing team. They have to run first because Garoppolo is no Aaron Rodgers. They need to get him open, easy throws. They do that by running until the opponents get lazy and Garoppolo steals an easy one. Their entire plan is to lie to you, me, everyone on TV and everyone on twitter as loudly as they can, shouting: "we'Re A grEaT RUnnING TEam!!! PLEAZE BelEAVE US!!!"
Their only trick is Deebo Samuel – handing off to him, routes out of the backfield, regular routes – he's really good. Without that, they are just grinding away their own possessions.
How to Beat the 49ers
The Vikings must not fall for the lie that the 49ers are a good running team and give Jimmy Garoppolo nothing. Other than Deebo Samuel that is, if he's in the backfield, pay attention.
.

I kind of get what he's saying, but he's dumb if he thinks we're not a good running team. We've blasted it up the middle plenty of times with Mitchell this year and have been successful. We've shown we can straight up pound the rock without any smoke and mirrors. We did that for the most part against the Rams.

I'll put my opposing teams glasses on and say that he is correct that Shanahan is an illusionist of sorts. We have crazy formations and motions and you don't know who or which way the ball is going. If a defense stays disciplined and honestly be good guessers, they can stop our run game. Shanahan is like the marvel villain Mysterio. He'll run the ball up the gut or do a simple pitch, but there's a bunch of pre-snap and motion that makes it look confusing to a defense.
They have a weak run d, just run it like 19' and play keep away.
