They thought Elijah Mitchell would be ready to play last Sunday too, so I'm not going to hold my breath.

no they didnt

you have to read between the lines but i think it was kind of obvious he was going to sit out

Up until Friday, Kyle was still hopeful he'd be able to practice and play on Sunday. If by reading between the lines you mean to assume that Kyle was lying, then ok, but if that's the case, he could be lying here too.

youre saying KS was lying that he was hopeful to play?

Im hopeful a million dollars will fall out of the sky but if it doesnt it doesnt make me a liar

Mitchell didnt practice and had to have surgery who thought he was going to play?

Cray too because just about every other team is getting more injured. The Packers have been losing a starter almost every game.

I didn't say Kyle was a liar. You're the one saying that it was obvious he wasn't going to play, but that wasn't true up until Friday. Here's what Kyle said after announcing the injury last Tuesday: "I'm hoping he has a chance to practice tomorrow." If he's optimistic that Mitchell would be able to practice 5 days before the game, it seems reasonable to think that he would be able to play that Sunday.

if a player is a DNP for the entire week after having a surgury he wont play

if Dee ford doesnt practice this week he wont play either. I cant think of a case where there is a player who is DNP for the entire week and played with the exception of QB
Matriculate most assuredly matriculate 49ers!
Thoughts on Mitchell? He going to play?

Sure, but at this point last week, Mitchell was not DNP for the entire week. Kyle was hopeful that he would practice, but obviously he didn't. Now, they're hopeful that Ford will be able to practice tomorrow and Friday and play on Sunday, but he's not practicing today, so there's reason to be pessimistic.

I think KS was also playing games with JAX and making them waste time practicing against outside zone runs in case Mitchell was ready.

He did a ton of inside running instead.
Not gonna lie, never thought I'd see Dee Ford in a Niners uniform again. Be amazing if he goes.
We're fully operational....

Yeah, true, and the Niners sure have already had their share of injuries this season...great to see guys starting to come back and maybe E. Mitchell, too.

Whomever is out there playing...bring on the Vikes!
