PREFERRED (POTENTIAL) WC ROUND OPPONENT

To the faithful I'm going to be honest.

we are missing a critical component of our 2019 squad which is defense. We are not going anywhere near the Super Bowl. But we will possibly take out the rams or cards during an upset on our way out with one and done which I'm ok with.

I personally want the Cardinals. They beat us twice with injuries and this game has upset should we make it into the playoffs healthy enough. Similar to Tampa bay and NO of last year. And the. Surprise in the playoffs.

this season is already a success in my book. Just wish we could stay healthy. Feels like we make a deal with the devil with each win costing us two starters
We're probably not beating any of those teams. I guess the Cowboys would be our best hope if their injuries continue to pile up.

They seem like a team that could choke in the first round.

I rather play Buccs or Packers over the Cowboys easily.

IDGAF I prefer the 9ers beat ALL of them!!!
Give me green bay. Just have Somone with covid lick his football and he's out for 14 days

He'd just lie about it until after the Super Bowl, then say everyone misunderstood him.
Honestly, I don't think any playoff team wants us in, the Bucs are the only team I don't think we matchup well against. They're just so stout up front I think we'll struggle to establish the run, that would lead to Jimmy vs Brady straight up and I know where I'd put my money.

I think we can roll into anyone else's house and tear it down.

This is really not true. What matchups teams get is extremely important in the playoffs. Certain teams are good matchups against certain teams and some teams are bad matchups. The matchups each team gets in the playoffs is an extremely important factor in who ends up winning it all.

Which is only concretely determined at game time. Who teams are today is not who they will be in over a month. Hence why hoping, on Nov. 28, you will face team X in Jan., is an exercise in futility.

The most crucial factor determining who wins it all is which team is peaking / gelling in Jan. Everything else is a distant second.

Great points. See our own niners for a perfect example of this. 5 weeks ago this was a different team
not the Bucs

their run D is impenetrable i think we can get some runs on them but still would rather not deal with that D and brady
Let's not get ahead of ourselves. The team is one game over .500 for the first time in weeks. Deebo and Warner are banged up and Greenlaw is hurt again which may mean he could end up being lost for most of the year. There are six games left with a lot of teams still in the hunt for playoff spots so you can expect the remaining games will all be dogfights, plus we have Seattle, at Century Link Field coming up. I don't care how far off the pace Seattle is at the moment. I don't think there has been a tougher opponent for us in the league than them for the past decade because of Wilson. I will never take that team for granted until we can start proving we can beat them on a more regular basis. All that being said, talk about who we would want to meet in the wild card round seems a bit premature.

8 positive COVID tests for the Cowboys.
Every great team has one or more terrible loss on their record. "We won't sniff the Super Bowl with this team"…. Probably not. No team is a statistical lock to make the big game, But we aren't vastly inferior to any team in the league.

baltimore, Buffalo, Tennessee and the chiefs all have terrible losses on their resumes in the afc

cards, greenbay, Dallas and Tampa do as well.

this years playoffs will be about momentum, not roster dominance.
Tampa.

Get a shot at the champs.

JG vs TB

Sherm probably injured doing his Sherm face on the sideline when we win late.

This one has all the story lines.
