No Deebo Samuel at the start of practice. He's still working on a side field.

No RB Elijah Mitchell (concussion, knee)
WR Deebo Samuel running well on side
No DE Dee Ford (run on side; 1 week to activate IR), Greenlaw, Moseley, Cannon
Yes, RB Jeff Wilson (knee) looking OK to start

At the very least, it's apparent Deebo Samuel really wants to get out there. He brought his helmet to practice and was doing work on the side to begin. Possible Samuel gets involved as the session progresses #49ers

Our run game could take a massive hit If Deebo and Mitchell both have to miss this one.

I think we have to play him. We can't afford to have our best players on the bench If they're able to participate.

So should we just give up on Greenlaw for this year?

I think we can beat ATL without Deebo
That is why i would "break glass in case of emergency" this week if we need him in the 2nd half.
We need to play as if 1 more loss is elimination

Sophies. Choice….you lose either way. With no Elijah, we have no Run game. Enter Deebo. Wtih Deebo we again have a running game. Problem is he is not built like an ice box with legs, he is built like a WR. And when he last played RB we lost him for 2 Week after getting the drizzly schid beaten out of him.
Wth neither, we have bupkis for Running game. If Deebo played i would only play him at WR and NOT RB, leaving us literally with no Running game. There are a lot less hits at WR , you don't get beaten with an ugly stick every time you catch a pass , but at RB he will take a beating.
Ergo, i would accept we have no Running game, do bubble passes, sweeps , throw to RBs, but forget about runs between tackles…unless we can thrive on 2.4 yds/ carry. More importantly, is deebo…and his good health. Just please don't put him at RB. The kid will do it , hell he does anything . But he's nicked, so protect him. AT least he will draw a.double and make life easier for kittle, Aiyuk, Sherfield, au jus,, + whoever.
that said, agree wiht ATT that with a loss we are taken out of contention. JL and KS…your move. I wouldn't want to be making it. Imagine, even a little bit, if deebo plays and we lose him for rest of yr ….season over….or probably so. Krapt , what a choice.

I love takes like this....there is literally no team that can pass the 49ers this weekend in the playoff scenario. Eagles are a bye and Falcons play Panthers. Whoever wins that game and should the 49ers lose, 49ers own the tiebreaker.
