Neither does Jed. I guess that's why some are ok with mediocrity.

lol lazy statements. We haven't had our legit stars on the field due to injuries the last two years

There isn't a way to prevent that or replace stars with stars during the season.

I don't think a single poster is "ok with mediocrity"

That's what happens when you depend too much on players who are always Injured.

Judging by some posts on here, I would disagree. Being ok with a 9-8 season doesn't sit well with me.

Being 1-4 in the division doesn't even sit well with me. Might as well pack it up and think of new ways on how the f**k the 9ers are gonna hang in the NFC West. f**k the playoffs already, losing to Seattle showed the rest of the world the 9ers don't belong there.

With Mitchell out this is comical! And Moseley! Those are key players in our success. I can't believe teams get this lucky playing us this beat up. Seattle was a clear win if we had Moseley and Deebo. No Greenlaw or Ford as well. Wilson is slow as s**t. This was a win that looks like it will be a loss now. There is no way we're going to stop their receivers. If our offense with a beat up Deebo and a horrible backup RG playing RT does not score at will and our DL doesn't get constant pressure we are cooked

My man this is a franchise known as the Bungles. Their fans base eats chili with processed cheese on top of spaghetti noodles and considers this some kind of regional delicacy.

We're going to be fine.

I hope you're right Faithful but how are we really going to stop their 3 receivers when we don't have any corners and have a good running game with a 4.7 running back?

I'm trying to keep the faith my man

We don't even need to cover. It's the Norman school of cornerbacking.

Step 1: Allow the catch
Step 2: Land the jab KAPOW forced fumble!
Step 3: Pile on the football
There's a lot of mediocrity in the league and I think much of it is because of the way Covid disrupted last season and the off season training. Teams are still losing players for a game or two because of Covid. The disruptions and uncertainty don't sit well with athletes.

I agree with the second part. The first part, though, is bound to happen when you count on players like Verrett and Mostert. That's on whoever manages the roster, because it was beyond likely players like Verrett and Mostert would miss time, very likely significant time. And the Mostert injury is more like an inevitability the way KS churns through RBs.

The entire league is mediocre. Get in the playoffs and see what happens. I don't give a flying f**k how we get in
This is yet another Jimmy G game…they're damn near last in the league in passing between the #s and they're down to a bunch of backup LBers. Jimmy should (key word) carve them up, literally there for the taking.
Is Awuzie playing? He had to get helped off the field last week and hadn't practice until Friday…he's their best DB.

True enough , but the majority of players being lost is due to injury…physical type. The really odd thing is that all the player losses we have had due to injury…is now being spread around to virtually the entire 32 teams. We've had to accommodate to this, altho poorly, but now…this injury horror show is being passed around the NFL community, and all teams are being affected by it. In a bizarre way, injury is bringing parity to the NFL in a way they never imagined.

it is why at this late date, so many teams in both conferences , are playoff contenders with but 5 games left…and all are with either a scintillating 6-6 or a spectacular losing record. Covid has just been an extra hurdle, making this run for the SB a battle between middling teams.

as for the few teams at the top, their turn is either a game or two away…or they are recovering from loss of a handful of starters.
