we will get whipped by two touchdowns at least... and then we can finally put this playoff thing to bed... at this point in time... why would you want us to get last seed only for us to get lit up by tampa or green bay?? it is like the people who actually are ok with losing a super bowl.. it is an honor to just get there.... that logic makes and should make zero sense to any and all niner fans. alot of us were happy with the little win streak but knew it and playoff hopes would come crashing down vs seattle. this weekend against a much much better team. we have no chance., and do not bring up some long ago forgotten game with dallas and elvis,,,,, that was then. this is now

Cause Falcons, Texans and Titans will put a nail in our coffin if we lose this game?

we are just an average team and in my opinion.... average can not be so arrogant to assume you can beat bad teams.. you must have missed the arrogance of the seattle pre game thread.. we were supposed to win. some thought we would blow them out just due to records. in my opinion we constructed our own coffin with bad play early in the year. which we reverted to. predictably , in my opinion. vs seattle

You also said the Bears would punch us in the mouth and we would crawl away like some babies and would be dominated 27-10.
agree. but i stand by my statement we are only an average team who will end up at 500. and i do not want us in the playoffs vs a number one seed. and cc said nothing wrong.. we constructed our own coffin and no one should be shocked we lost last sunday

I just don't understand why you are actively rooting against being 1 and done in the playoffs which I agree is likely. But with no first round pick I certainly do not want to make the Dolphins first round pick any better because of some Uber macho thought that losing in the playoffs is worst than not even making it there.

Thank you, cc, you're living the dream of the past when we were perfect in SB's. Making the tournament is what it's all about. Having that chance. Whether the 1 seed or the 7 seed. We've seen the last seed win the SB and the 1 seed lose the SB. Get in the contest and see what happens. Imo, limping in and making a run is more gritty than having a healthy team all year and it being easy. Sure, I wouldn't mind a nice ass whooping occasionally on Sundays, but that game last week was one of the most entertaining to watch. Didn't like the result, but it had everything in that game. Like the announcers kept saying, "What is happening?", every other play it seemed. If you're not a fan of that, then what's the point of being a fan?

I think many fans have forgotten that Kyle wants to first, run the ball. 2nd, run the , 3rd pass, 4th run the ball. That has been Mike's philosophy going back to Elway and beyond. Terrell Davis was a 2k yard rusher. That doesn't happen running it 20 times a game.

He drafted Lance to run the ball. Anyone thinking we're suddenly going to throw 35+ times a game with Lance is losing the forest for the trees.

Why are we 7-9 when Jimmy throws for more than 30 times? Because that means our gamelan didn't work. When your gamelan didn't work, that means you're losing.

It means we've either had turnovers(hello Seattle, Cardinals), the defense can't stop anything and we don't convert 3rd downs(hello GB, IND)

People act like teams sell out to stop the run as an indictment on Jimmy, it's how you beat Kyle's scheme - always has been. Because if you let him run on you and then get the play action game going, you're screwed.

All that happens because we have a game-manager at QB and they mortgaged the future for a young and talented QB that they don´t use.

Shanahan wants to run run run because he has Jimmy. Not because he is a "run first" coach. That´s a myth. Go check his pass/run splits through his career and you´ll see it. His only seasons with more runs than passes were 2012 with RG3 in his rookie year and 2019 with Jimmy. He only runs more because he knows that Jimmy can´t carry the offense with his arm.

No one is saying that we´ll throw 35 times with Lance.....this year. What some of us think is that if Kyle wants to run run run he´d have a better running game this season with a QB that can run from the shotgun or the pistol because with him on the field the running game is 11 on 11 and not 10 on 11.

I bet you that with Lance on the field executing zone-reads and not those stupid QB-power that Shanahan called in the Arizona game our running game would be better but I know that we won´t see Lance this season even if we lose the next 2 games because ShanaLynch are more interested in getting some draft capital from Jimmy than playing Trey to give him experience for next year.

Also look at win/loss with his run/pass splits. Teams losing and getting behind early affected the run/pass calls. Several RB's have had their best seasons under him. Steve Slaton had over 1200 yards, have you heard of Steve Slaton? Thr next season, 2009 they had tons of RB injuries and the OL was bad they only averaged 3.5 YPA rushing. Alfred Morris and Devonta Freeman had their best seasons under Shanahan.

Kyle knows running the ball sets up everything in the offense and increases your chance of winning. Are you telling me Kyle trusted Brian Hoyer and Johnny Manziel more throwing the ball than Jimmy? That's beyond absurd.
I can't wait guys 49ers at Bengals it's gonna be a great game!
Is our OL a good matchup with their front 7? Meaning, if they have a lot if active beef up front and strength on the edges, like Seattle, they can shut down our run game and we know what happens after that. Give me this OL against the Rams every day. Not Seattle.

So how do we match up for this one?

its abundantly clear Deebo is our MVP, if he runs plays in that sea game we woulda won. I hope hes healthy enough for Sunday

In spite of Deebo being our MVP, we absolutely should have won the Seattle game without him.

Truth.

Forget about it.

Is really time to accept this team is really just a mediocre team and nothing more.

They will play well in a couple of games to raise your hopes, then they will come crashing down in the next game even to the weakest of opponents. Just getting swept by a crappy 3-8 Seahawks team will tell you all you need to know.

There are just too many issues from top to bottom starting from Shanahan and they have lost my trust. It will take quite sometime to fix them all.

The good news is at least I have been enjoying watching Harbaugh and Michigan finally getting it done in beating Ohio State and winning the Big Ten. Just making the final 4 of the College Football Playoff alone is a huge deal. This 9ers team can learn from this Michigan team They really play together as a tight-knit unit in all 3 phases of football and were determined in getting it done from as early as spring ball. The 9ers? They just thought everything will be automatically handed to them just because we kept most of the players from the 2019 squad. Sorry folks, that's not how football works. Every season you have to bust your balls just to have a chance to be good. This team basically took things for granted.

I mean when even Washington quarterbacked by Taylor Heinicke could beat the Seahawks and we can't, that pretty much says it all about the state of the franchise.

ShanaLynch in 2025. "You saw our team from 2019. We're going to run it back one more time."

Are you sure its Shanahan? I see guys every week open for potential big plays and the ball does not get thrown to them. What more do you want from him as a playcaller?

I want him to be a HC.

We seriously could set a new record for most defensive P.I this coming Sunday.

Should also have over/under on roughing the passer. Lame as it is….

How about a Laken Tomlinson 10 yard holding penalty on a key momentum drive or inside the RZ?
I've been throwing opponents DVOAs in here javi did it for me lol
