Nothing wrong with that. This is just a sport and other things in life are more important, including health.

But that being said, you shouldn't tell people who do choose to invest that type of energy in the team that everything is fine regarding the QB position. Imo.

The secondary is TRASH. The only thing worse than watching Josh Norman flopping around out there like a dying trout trying to cover is the right side of the offensive line where Daniel Brunskill and Tom Compton may be the two worst offensive linemen tandem in the entire NFL. If I were a defensive coordinator game planning against the Niners I would run stunts and blitzes and overloads against the two turnstiles impersonating NFL-level guards and tackles and darn the torpedoes.

Aside from that, GREAT WIN for the Niners, despite their leaky secondary and horrendous right side of the O-line.

I'm a Trey Lance fan. I don't think Jimmy is much better than average. I absolutely do not want Trey starting unless the 49ers are essentially out of contention. I would have been fine with an open comp or even just trading Jimmy before the season, and letting Trey take his rookie lumps. But the situation now is that we are a contender, and under no circumstances should we be starting a rookie when we have a competent starting QB.
