Who do we need to win 2nite AZ or LA?

I think we need AZ to win. Then we will be 1 game behind LA for the 5 seed. IF we can get the 5 seed then we would go to DAL on Super Wild Card Weekend. That would be a very winable game for us. Beating Dal in the playoffs would make 2021 a success.

Super Wild Card Weekend:
7 at 2 seed
6 at 3 seed
5 at 4 seed

Current standings:
1 AZ (10-2)
2 GB (10-3)
3 TB (10-3)
4 Dal (9-4)
5 LA (8-4)
6 SF (7-6)
7 Wash (6-7)

PLUS the 5 seed has the best shot of getting a home game later in the playoff. Also if AZ wins that would help keep the Pack from the 1 seed. The frozen tundra is the only place we have ZERO chance of winning a playoff game
we dont have a shot at the number 1 seed (or winning division)

so we might as well shoot for the 5 seed
AZ. No way we are catching up to them.
I'd like to see AZ run away with the division to give us the best chance of catching up/passing LA
Two thoughts:
  • If AZ wins (LA loses), AZ remains in the driver seat for a bye. We'd be only one game back from LA and we have one game with them remaining, meaning we could overtake LA for #5 spot.
  • If LA wins (AZ loses), we're two games behind LA for #5 and that looks unlikely, but AZ falls to 2nd or 3rd, meaning we could actually face them in the first round. It also means that LA could conceivably still win the division.

Ultimately, the one team I don't want to face in the first round is TB. Here are my prioritizations for first team possibilities:

1) DAL (meaning we'd be #5 seed most likely)
2) LA (they'd win the division over AZ)
3) AZ
4) GB
5) TB

@ GB and TB would be tough

plus the thought of LA making the super bowl in their home stadium makes me puke

Hoping Rams win - I want that #5 seed.
Rams
We root for both teams to suck and and fall apart internally.

We also root for OBJ's dad to point out some plays his son was open and Stafford didnt pass him the ball instead of handing it off the runningback.

Idk about wanting to face DAL, especially with our CBs, and they got a couple of really good play makers on defense as well. The only thing that gives me some hope for that matchup is that Kyle would out game plan McCarthy.

Tampa is also a team I don't want to see because of their great offense, especially with Fournette playing so well, they are very balanced on offense now.

AZ should have a bye so we don't have to worry about that right now.

Which leaves GB and LA. Those two I'm more comfortable with just bc of our success against them. If I had to pick, it would be the Rams, especially bc Stafford is starting to break down.
It's actually a really good question, and since both teams are playing, i suspect one or more guys will get injured tonite, maybe making both less healthy IT is just the nature of the sport. Don't want AZ to get cocky, and don't want Rams to end up higher than us. So no choice for me , and i don't wish injury on anyone, but it's still likely to happen.
What would a tie do? How about spiking their Gatorade with laxatives
We need AZ to win more, but in my heart I like LA more. For some reason I don't like Kliffbar Kingsbury
AZ winning tonight.. no question..
