SF 49ers vs Falcons Pregame Thread - 2021 Season Week 15

We burned our margin of error on the likes of Colt McCoy and the Seahawks. Can't afford to look at this game as a chance to rest anyone imo.

This game is a true test of our menatlity this year

Agreed here. This is somewhere I come to NOT talk about COVID, vaccines, masks, etc.

I'm really hoping we stomp a mudhole in Atlanta like we did to Carolina in 2019 or GB in the same year. We need a good blowout like JAX.

Fine but it's hard to not talk about it when it starts impacting games. Niners are lucky so far and let's hope it stays that way.

If someone's going to miss this game because of Covid, than talk about their game status here. Keep all over Covid discussions/opinions in the Parking Lot.

Hopefully that makes things simpler for you.

What did I say. If it impacts the game then it's hard to avoid it.

I think we can't take anything for granted and should play whomever is healthy.

Crazy to think though, we have a good possibility of getting 10 wins this season.

If someone said this season we'd: lose Verrett game 1 for the year, lose Greenlaw game 1 for nearly the whole year, lose Mostert for the year, miss Jeff Wilson for half the year, lose McGlinchey half way through the year, Moseley would miss half our games, Kinlaw would get reconstructive knee surgery after only playing in 2 games - I think most people would expect us to be a bottom 1/3 team.

Sure, and I don't think anyone is arguing that or silencing it. It's the COVID discussion had gone beyond how it impacts a game into the larger societal argument. That's what they're trying to keep out of here so that discussions stay in their lane. Especially such a hot issue that will quickly devolve/derail this thread about an upcoming game.
Probably old news now but on Mon, GMFB's Peter Schrager, the "Schrags" said of 9ers Sun performance, "Hey, I'm not saying the 9ers are going to win the SB, but after Cincy game, NO ONE wants to play them." All pro performances by #85, #71, Aiyuk, Deebo, #97, plus remainder of that DL, show stopping performance by Azeez, and really good play from Jimmy, Laken, Juaun, the STs with 3 (or was it 4 Fumble recoveries)…cripes, it SHOULD have given ATL a bad nite's sleep.

Correct. Shrager is the antithesis of Florio.

I think the Niners are Shrager's team.

Exactly! Having Ford for 5 games was a killer. He had 3.5 sacks too. The quality of those players impact is so great. A lot of teams are injured but they definitely do not have those type of injuries to great players on their team not to mention us missing players throughout the year Like Williams Deebo Samuel Mitchell Warner K Williams almost everybody has missed games
Today's practice injury report looks super encouraging
is greenlaw's dick still hurtin'?
Another big game that impacts the playoffs. If we beat them, we will own the tiebreaker that also includes the Vikings and Eagles. This almost guarantees we will make the playoffs.
We should win this game no problem….

r-right?

No game is easy for us, but we're also never out of any game either.
