Also the spread dropped from -9.5 to -8.5.

That's pretty much what Vegas wants, right?

Am I the only one that wished they would do away with inactives? Especially with the extra game.

No....I hate that rule too. Extra game AND covid should change the availability of players

The inactive list is there so that each team only dresses an equal number of players. If there was no inactive list, based on our list today we would only gain one extra guy. But it's possible the Falcons could get more than one extra guy. That is a competitive imbalance.

The league expanded the practice squad, changed rules for calling guys up/down and changed IR rules to allow for more flexibility during the week with the overall roster
A lot of these Niner/Falcon games in recent years have played out much different than what most expect, so I'm just approaching this with cautious optimism.

  • DL Maurice Hurst (calf)
  • OL Colton McKivitz
  • RB Elijah Mitchell (concussion, knee)

Hopefully Azeez and Mitchell are back on Thursday.

Not sounding like Mitchell will be.

as long as he's ready for our potential playoff run . no point in rushing him smae goes for al shair and greenlaw
Another step in our journey to our 6th World Championship here we go!

yeah, that is actually an interesting point. I am going to have to research more of why they do "inactives". I always figured it was mainly financial benefits for the team, but it may have a big impact on game strategy too.
Expect JG to throw for 375 and 4 scores

ATL 13
SF 44

Competitive balance. Our list only one guy could really play. What if the Falcons list all the guys could play? Then they would have more available players and that is a disadvantage.
