But really?

Couldn't wait one more week!

Not like he's done a whole lot though this season, dudes not fully healthy.

But knowing us, we'll give him a good game.

Give him one more week off

Smells like desperation to me.

Even without Henry, their OL can still run block quite well. The problem for them is that except for Taylor Lewan, their OL is not good at PP. Still, their offense without Julio is not very good.

On defense, their front seven is vulnerable. David Long is a very good Blitzer from the Mike. Harald Landry has his moments rushing the passer but overall is disappointing. Their strength is at safety where Kevin Byard is the best in the league. Amani Hooker is also having a very good year. Jackrabbit is OK at one corner and Kristian Fulton is quietly having a good year on the other wing.

We will need to run the ball well and look for opportunities in the passing game.

Good post. I have a lot of respect for Vrabel. Dude went into New England and beat Brady and Belichick in that house with Tannehill at the helm. That's impressive.

Great info! It's going to be a great game!
I think we win this game were it played on Sunday, could do with a COVID postponement! Short week with travel is really tough.
Niners fans on this flight bumping "bang bang niner gang"!
LA to Tennessee .. can't wait to hit Nashville!

49ers need to bring back Shawntae Spencer for this one.

Was that the "Handshake" game?

I'm pretty sure that was from a game during a 3 game win-streak near the end of 2006 when Nolan was the HC.

I had so much hope during that stretch. 2006 was one of the high points during the dark years.

Wooooow. Haven't heard/seen Shawntee Spencer's name in a long tone.

06 was a fools gold year(no pun intended).

Alex looked way better than his rookie year and the offense was gelling in Norv Turners offense.

Then 2007 happened....Jim Effing Hostler.....

Then Alex's shoulder injury.

That year was so bad we were even hoping Shaun Hill would be a viable qb option

I always wondered what the next year would be like if Norv Turner didn't jump ship at the last moment.

I have always wondered the same. I think Alex's development would've benefited BIG time (seriously f**k Jim hostler and I can't believe he won a ring over us in 2012). But I believe Nolan's incompetence would've still shined through and led to his firing by the end of 2008.

In hindsight, the real mistake was giving Singletary the interim to full time promotion so quickly in an offseason where Mike Shanahan, Mike Holmgren, and Jon Gruden all became available. Hasty move really cost us.

I think the 2007 Niners become the 1991 Cowboys without the dominant receiver if Norv returns. A good 9-7 team or even 10-6. Basically a team on the cusp but missing the elite pass rusher and elite outside receiver.

As for the Tennessee game, if we don't turn the ball over, I expect us to win.
