49ers need to bring back Shawntae Spencer for this one.

Was that the "Handshake" game?

I'm pretty sure that was from a game during a 3 game win-streak near the end of 2006 when Nolan was the HC.

I had so much hope during that stretch. 2006 was one of the high points during the dark years.

Wooooow. Haven't heard/seen Shawntee Spencer's name in a long tone.

06 was a fools gold year(no pun intended).

Alex looked way better than his rookie year and the offense was gelling in Norv Turners offense.

Then 2007 happened....Jim Effing Hostler.....

Then Alex's shoulder injury.

That year was so bad we were even hoping Shaun Hill would be a viable qb option

I always wondered what the next year would be like if Norv Turner didn't jump ship at the last moment.

I have always wondered the same. I think Alex's development would've benefited BIG time (seriously f**k Jim hostler and I can't believe he won a ring over us in 2012). But I believe Nolan's incompetence would've still shined through and led to his firing by the end of 2008.

In hindsight, the real mistake was giving Singletary the interim to full time promotion so quickly in an offseason where Mike Shanahan, Mike Holmgren, and Jon Gruden all became available. Hasty move really cost us.

If Norv didn't leave, Frank Gore would have had 2000.
Crazy fun fact that I noticed. The 49ers have 18 players over 275 lbs and 11 over 300. None bigger than 325.

Mater Dei High School who won the state championship has 19 players over 275 and 11 over 300 including 4 over 330 and two over 350.

How the hell are these kids getting so big?

Any word on when Sermon might be coming back? I know Eman will be out most likely til playoffs and Azeez might be possible this Thursday but I'd keep him out til next week.

NFL weight probably has more muscle mass than HS weight

I think he went on IR 12/4 so they can open his window after this weeks game. I have no idea whether he's ready yet though injury wise.

No doubt but I was amazed out how quick those 350 lb kids were. I think both were about 6'5" and didn't look fat other than a little around the middle but we see that with the NFL nose tackles too. I remember when Bill Walsh was having a constant battle with Bubba Paris about keeping his weight under 300. I think they finally settled on 310. That was their only guy over 300. Wow have times changed.
Without Henry, the 9ers should win this one without too many problems. Time to send the rest of the league another message that we're back.

This ain't a one man band. They went into 7-1 LA with no Henry and beat the stuffing out of em.

Thursday road games are brutal. My understanding is Monday you review Falcons game and install gameplan for Titans. Tuesday you practice. Wednesday is travel day. Thursday is gameday. You're basically flying blind with one day of practice vs a normal 3 days. Someone correct me if I am wrong on the weekly schedule just my guess curious how they actually handle it.
Going to be a tough game, but we should win this one

Likely.
To be fair its a short week for the Titans as well although they get an extra day of practice while Niners are travelling.

I maintain that Thursday games are nightmares for everyone.

But if you want to be a playoff team you have to figure it out.

It'll be a competitive game but I'm confident we have too much talent not to come away with the win from this one.... Kyle has everyone rolling right now. Combine that with the fact the Titans have lost 3 out of the last 4 and I don't see how we lose... Like u said though, Thursday night games can be brutal and unpredictable.

We need all our horses in the stable this Thursday. Titans will be very difficult. Of course we can win, but they're not pushovers like Atlanta and they're eyeing that #1 seed with or without King Henry. Going to be a physical, defensive game.

100% take the under. If either team scores over 24 i'd be surprised.

20-17 Niners
Turnovers are the key. Force em from Tannehill and don't have any.
