Cover2 is not going to work against the 49ers run game so HOU will need to bring a safety down into the box. Expect lots of zone coverage. It will be interesting to see what formations Kyle uses. Does he help the run game and keep things the same, or does he spread things out horizontally to give Lance easier presnap reads? I thought Lance stared down his target too often vs ARI in his one start, he will need to use his eyes to move defenders if HOU is zone heavy.
Houston's starting safeties, Justin Reid and Eric Murray, are not good against the run. That should help get the run game going and take pressure off Lance. Houston has one good corner to avoid.
Overall, the Texan defense has been playing better as the season went along. This game may not be as easy as some think.
