Peter King keeps saying first rounder.
Steelers have pick #20 overall - which sounds about right for a starting QB (since they don't quite have any other options). Could be JG + a 4th for pick #20?

Denver would be a good fit with Hackett. He is better than Bridgewater. The steelers seems to be the popular pick and would be am amazing situation for him there. Cleveland would be interesting for sure. He's a hell of a lot more likeable than Baker is and could bring fantastic leadership to get everyone to focus there.
New Orleans doesn't have a lot of cap room to trade for him but if Payton were there he definitely would be an awesome fit there.
I think Carolina would turn into playoff contenders with Jimmy. They have a solid squad, not fantastic, but solid. Jury is still out on their coach though. f**k WFT and Houston and their terrible ownerships.
I wonder how Jimmy would do in Pittsburgh. Their offense does seem to run a lot of crossers, so that'd pair well with Jimmy's preference for throwing over the middle.
I think they'd like his efficiency, but I do wonder how that Tomlin and that fanbase would feel about Jimmy's penchant for turnovers.
I think their fan base is gonna be good for him. They're a blue collar type of fan base unless us pretentious bay area snobs lol. But seriously I think he would do good there but they gotta improve that line. Out of all the teams I'd like him to go there.

I'd s**t my pants if that happens. I don't think we will know his value until the process gets deeper in. We don't know how FOs perceive Jimmy because they tend to be a lot different than fans and media people.

Teams that will be interested if they don't land one of the stud vet QBs (Rodgers, Wilson, Watson). I think these teams feel that with stable QBing, they will be a winning team.
DEN
NO
CLE
PIT
Need a QB, but still rebuilding. Less likely to trade for Jimmy:
WAS
CAR
HOU
Edits?
Add Indy and Tampa as potential buyers.

We'll see about Tampa. Arians offense is a lot more different than what it's looked like the past couple seasons, it's tom brady though so of course he will change it up. Indy would be interesting though. I bet Buckner would heavily endorse that pick up.

Everyone keeps saying Pittsburgh. I do not see it. That is a franchise that values draft picks and builds their team through the draft. And they want a mobile QB.

My dream scenario. I despise Pittsburgh
Tomlin has said he wants his next QB to be the mobile type.
Jimmy G is very mobile, he can move to any team.

Btw...what do you guys think of maybe seeking a player instead of draft pick for Jimmy.
For example - Bradley Chubb. In the 2 years he was healthy - he had 19.5 sacks in 30 games. Other 2 years - he had injuries and when he played last year (7 games) - he was not good. But, if you could pair him opposite Bosa - dude is turning 26 this summer and entering his prime - that can potentially payout more than any draft pick could.
Not sure if Denver will do that - but I'd love to pair Bosa with another really good (and potentially elite) end.
Good pass rusher when he's healthy, but that's only half the time - sounds really familiar. Very enticing though, nice idea. DEN should be patient with Chubb if they think he can get healthy and back to form. If I was DEN I'd rather give all picks.
Lordy, I hope we don't go that route. Waiting on a guy's health to round into shape is just something we have no business doing.

It'll depend on how much interest there is. All it takes is two (hopefully more) teams to bid against each other and up the price.
Hopefully the rookie QBs bomb the pre-draft also.

I'd say a second and a third rounder

Yeah. But Pittsburgh has also had Roethlisberger the last 18 years. IF they like Jimmy, he can be their starting QB the next 3+ years.

If I need a starting QB, and there are other teams in the mix… It's not a good idea to wait.

I doubt Indy is giving much after the wentz deal last year.
