What will Jimmy's trade value be in the offseason?

Steelers have pick #20 overall - which sounds about right for a starting QB (since they don't quite have any other options). Could be JG + a 4th for pick #20?

Everyone keeps saying Pittsburgh. I do not see it. That is a franchise that values draft picks and builds their team through the draft. And they want a mobile QB.

They traded a 1st for Fitzpatrick couple years back and they're not going into the season with Rudolph and Haskins competing for the starters spot

Listing the teams out, there's going to be a market for Jimmy.
Teams that will be interested if they don't land one of the stud vet QBs (Rodgers, Wilson, Watson). I think these teams feel that with stable QBing, they will be a winning team.
DEN
NO
CLE
PIT

Need a QB, but still rebuilding. Less likely to trade for Jimmy:
WAS
CAR
HOU

Edits?

Denver continues to be at the top of the list because of all the draft picks they have and the cap room. Also, Nathaniel Hackett is from the Shanahan tree.

Teams know the 49ers aren't bringing him back and will just wait for his release.

Totally disagree. First off you have to deal with about a dozen teams that are looking to upgrade their QB position (likely having to pay more in a open market) and secondly SF doesn't have to cut him until W1, his cash isn't gtd until then.
I asked my boss who's a big raider fan (i.e. no horse in this race). He initially said 1st and a 2nd. I thought that was crazy talk. But it's interesting to hear someone outside of our echo chamber.

I think we're thinking about this wrong. Which HC/GM groups are on the hot seat to make the playoffs this year (like Shanahan was this season). Because that desperation is needed; Jimmy isn't anyone's long term answer. But he's also not a standard bridge QB like Hoyer, for which the fan base understands he's literally holding the spot until the next guy takes it.
Low 1st high 2nd. A lot of demand very minimal supply.
A lot will depend on if we have multiple teams interested. If there is only one team interested we will unlikely get much. I don't think the most recent press conference helped much. Should be pretty obvious to everyone we plan to move on from Jimmy now. So we really need multiple teams now to drive the price up. I think there is a good chance of that happening based on the Qb market right now. I think we end up with a 2nd or 3rd this year and a conditional 2023 pick to go with it.

I remember when the 49ers would have to cut Alex Smith because obviously no one would trade for him since there was no way they were keeping him.

If you're a team that needs a QB, you'll do whatever you can to get Garoppolo into your building rather than roll the dice that he'll want to sign with you as a free agent.

Washington is the only team I can think of where there might be pressure to produce a winning season. Every other team will either have a new HC or someone whose position is pretty secure.

I think that's a very good call. They have a very weak division and have had terrible QB play in recent years. But they have a good defense and solid running game. They could easily win that division or at least make the WC with Jimmy.

Yep. And we did business with them already for Trent Williams.

#11 for Garrapolo and #61?

Draft DE- David Ojabo from Michigan.

If Kinlaw comes back healthy look out

DE- Nick Bosa / Jordan Willis
DT- Arik Armstead / Arden Key
NT- DJ Jones / Javon Kinlaw
DE- David Ojabo / Samson Ebukam

LB- Azeez Al-Shaair
LB- Fred Warner
LB- Dre Greenlaw

Washington Commanders lol
Washington Post reader comments after NFCCG recap column skewed a kinda no on Jimmy from the team fans.

Jimmy Garoppolo will almost certainly be on the move this offseason.
*Just as long as it's not to Washington. The guy is another one of those frUstrating as hell QB's that has long runs of great play and too many moments of 'What the F was he thinking" play. Just don't WFT.

*that pick thrown by Jimmy G is exactly why Washington should absolutely NOT sign him.

*Which is exactly why they probably will.

*There is no question he will come to Washington. That's what they do.

*Poor Deadskins.

Fans never want these players. But GMs and HCs will take them to save their jobs. Its just supply and demand with quarterbacks

Because Ben was a mobile QB?
i think Pitt has the offense that fits Jimmy. A run first team that needs a QB to make key throws.

I see also him fitting at Tampa, Denver. I'm not liking him at Oak, and probably not Indy. Maybe Washington.
