What will Jimmy's trade value be in the offseason?

I believe it's June 1. Whether he's traded or released, it looks like the Niners will take a $1.4 million hit. His no trade clause expires in March.
We all want to see the best deal for Jimmy and the team but what if things were reversed and the 49ers were looking for a QB? How much would you be willing to give up for a 31 year old often injured mid tier QB? Would you even want him? I doubt many Niner fans would be too excited about landing someone like that especially since we've had more than our share of injuries.

Answer: when the QB you get is better than the QB you have.

Now, the value of such a trade will vary from team to team, but someone will not get Wilson, Rodgers, or possibly Carr.

There will be a market, but the above players will have to move first.

Just getting someone better than who you already have isn't going to make your team better if he's injured a lot. You can end up wasting 2 or 3 more years. Would you be excited if the Niners signed Jimmy next year at this stage of his career?

Exactly.......take away the bias and emotion. Objectively, not many would. If he had a healthy and successful season taking the 9ers deep into the playoffs, he could have changed minds. That didnt happen.

Niners would be lucky to get a 4th or 3rd rounder for Jimmy. Can't see they will get a 2nd when his release is eminent for next year.

The idea was to have Jimmy up his value with his stay with the 49ers, but it doesn't seemed like he up his value at all. I would say the same or might be lowered due to history of injuries. And turn over prone.

Somones gonna make an emotional decision. Imagine back in 2005 or somthing when we watched Trent Dilfer start for us and the utter sadness we felt. If only we had a decent qb. That's what 16/32 teams feel right now.

im thinking we get a 3-4 conditional pick back for jimmy. Able to go to 2 or 3 if he can stay healthy. Jimmys gonna make a team and fan base happy. Win win for both of us
It may just be 'one game', but the loss to the Titans was a dismal display by Garoppolo! No, I don't believe it was a case of he's 'human' and 'we all make mistakes'. People may say 'even Rodgers has missed', etc. but that miss to Juszczyk and the two INTs - both which weren't tipped, or he was under pressure, or the receiver didn't do their part, etc. - took it to another level of ire of Garoppolo for me! I just can't stand him (in the context as a fan; you know what I mean. Yes, he's a good guy and team player and all). The 4th quarter in the SB, the ducks thrown in that opening loss to Arizona in 2020, that atrocious fumble (he wasn't touched!) at a critical point in the 4th quarter against GB earlier this year, the two INTs and safety in the second game against the Seahawks (plenty of other examples) and the Titan game should - however 'reasoned' and 'objective' - affect an assessor's decision on Garoppolo. When and where has he ever been really good (not just 'efficient' or even 'solid'). He is consistentl a real liability! That second INT in that game first possession of the second half and the defense just held the Titans to a FG, thus containing a swing of possible rising momentum. Well, he sure gave it to them, with the ball now inside our 20yd line!! ! I just screamed!! He wasn't under any pressure, stood fast with planted feet in the pocket, no defender up in his face, Deebo open across the middle for a big gain if hit in stride - goodness, what a horrendously thrown ball!!! Please tell how I'm wrong that that was beyond atrocious for an NFL QB!!! Absolutely deplorable (yes, I own a thesaurus). Pathetic!!! This was a huge game with ramifying contingencies - and nothing indicated that the Niners were going to lose. Sure, the Titans were not going to continue to be shut down, but our first TD drive didn't even contain a 3rd down!!! The defense did pretty well overall (A J Brown should have been called against Ward, but I hate relying in that stuff). That miss to Juice!! Damn it!! That's four points (they got the FG). That abysmal first INT - that's another three pints at the least, likely seven (they were inside the ten yd kind already up 7-0 with all the momentum). How could anyone be excited about having him as their new QB???????

The Titans game was just one game, but it's close amalgamation of Jimmy. Maybe not through his career but certainly this year. You get a guy that was hitting all cylinders, and then the inexplicable turn over in the red zone. Giving momentum to the other team and their home crowd. Some shaky throws in between. And then the injury, before another clutch TD that could win the game or too little too late.

In the end the mistakes would cancel out the good. And we get what we are getting now a game over .500

The offense is good enough to carry the defense this late in the season, but it isn't consistent enough because of Jimmy.

An outside NFL team wont make emotional decisions towards JG, if anythjng it will be desperate. Fans are the ones that are emotional and overly attached thus making biased and emotional opinions.

Yeah what my thoughts are. Say what you will about the front office but they always seem to look out for the players. A 4th where Jimmy might not want to go or cut him and wish him the best of luck feels more 9ers regime.

A cut is much respect to Jimmy if they go that route.

There's going to be teams that want his services, for sure. I don't think cutting him is an option, because he'll want to go to a team (probably even if it's a bottom feeding team) so he can play football. At least that's my reading of his mindset at this point. He just wants to play football. Now, obviously between playing for a playoff team and playing for a bottom feeding team, he'll opt for a playoff team, but that's for the offseason to decide and reveal.

His trade value is going to be (I think) in the area of an Alex Smith, maybe even more, since Jimmy's been to a super bowl and Alex never had. We shall see, but I'm eager to see how Trey will do in the Texas game and if we can get even half of what we got from Alex Smith, the way ShanaLynch does their day three picks, that's still going to be a net positive.

This is far too simplistic of an answer to be THE answer.
The more I think about it, if not a draft pick maybe he's traded for another player.
If i watch the Giants Barkley and Company would give up two firsts to have someone like Jimmy under Center
