We've lost touch with truly awful QB play. Most of these teams in play for Garoppolo are staring at their own version of Cody Pickett, JT O'Sullivan and Shaun Hill right in the face. Enjoy that.

Teams where Garoppolo would easily be the better option:
Carolina-Darnold/Over the hill Cam
Tampa-Kyle Trask/Blaine Gabbert
Denver-Drew Lock/Teddy Bridgewater
Pittsburgh-Mason Rudolph
Washington-Taylor Heinecke
Detroit-Jared Goff
All the 49ers need is one of these teams or any other to look at Garoppolo as someone that they can win with.

Not 30% of the league, but hopefully Lynch can convince them they're bidding against each other.

He's a proven injury liability. That is the big one. $26m on the sidelines is not a mid level bargain.
Lots of guys with existing injury histories get big contracts every year. With the 49ers luck, he'll go elsewhere and turn into a football Ironman.
If you're a HC and GM that has to deliver tangible results and you don't have an early draft pick, what is the surer thing? A middling draft pick that may never turn out to be more than backup tier? A backup tier QB that has definitely shown that you can't count on them more than a few games at a time or a QB like Garoppolo that could be the difference between a 4-6 win season and going on the hot seat versus an 8 to 10 win season and a possible playoff berth?
You can win a whole lot of games with Jimmy Garoppolo as your QB. The 49ers are proof of that and you only need one team to look at him as a guy that they can roll with for three to four seasons to get some nice compensation in exchange.

I saw the Mariotta and Winston references and realized the Niners may do even better than a 2nd plus more.
What a great market for the Niners to shop a QB.

That is not a complete list.

That's right. That's why we will get more than people here think.

There's always some random teams that pop up.
Is Cleveland sold on Baker Mayfield enough to pay him $35+ mil a year?
What happens if Green Bay does trade Rodgers and how confident are they in Jordan Love?
Is Houston sold on Davis Mills or would their New England management welcome a Garoppolo reunion?
