What will Jimmy's trade value be in the offseason?

We all want to see the best deal for Jimmy and the team but what if things were reversed and the 49ers were looking for a QB? How much would you be willing to give up for a 31 year old often injured mid tier QB? Would you even want him? I doubt many Niner fans would be too excited about landing someone like that especially since we've had more than our share of injuries.

Answer: when the QB you get is better than the QB you have.

Now, the value of such a trade will vary from team to team, but someone will not get Wilson, Rodgers, or possibly Carr.

There will be a market, but the above players will have to move first.

Just getting someone better than who you already have isn't going to make your team better if he's injured a lot. You can end up wasting 2 or 3 more years. Would you be excited if the Niners signed Jimmy next year at this stage of his career?

Honestly, that does make a difference. Forget what the fans think. Put yourself in thr position of a.GM or coach entering years 2-4 and you haven't shown much. Or you've built a team that can compete, but QB holds you back. You realize Jimmy ain't reliable, but it isn't Jason Verrett bad. The day 2 pick gets you an immediate starter and any other QB drafted can sit and learn. If Jimmy gets hurt, you have a talented backup. If he's healthy, you'll have a winning record and are in the playoff hunt which is exactly what certain teams need.

Cam Newton, after stinking it up in New England got another shot. QBs are at a premium. We know Jimmy can play and can do so at a high level. His health is the only thing preventing this from being a 1st outright. QBs, even below average ones, go for high picks- remember the Sam Bradford trade?

A coach/GM trying to save their jobs and looking for a QB will look into Jimmy and hedge their bets by getting a rookie in the pipeline. Said move could buy a regime 2 or 3 years if Jimmy continues to win at anywhere near the rate always has won at.
Nothing........his value is nothing
Conditional 7th rd pick
Well right now after the first half vs texans we might be better if we hold onto him 😂
the greatness of Lance seen by his teammates during practice his non significant pep talk…

If i watch the Giants Barkley and Company would give up two firsts to have someone like Jimmy under Center

there's more chance to send Barkley and their two 1st rounders to Seattle for Danger Russ!!
Looking at the panthers game vs saints : wow Darnold sucks (against a pretty good defense)
this team is going nowhere with him or Cam
they will try hard to have a QB
if they dont want to pay the king's ransom on watson i think we can at least have #1 from them for JG

after they already traded three picks for bust Sam Darnold, I really doubt the owner will let them trade picks anymore. Might just fire them on the spot if they even suggest it.
Trade value not high because of the hand injury. Especially if he needs surgery.
I'm thinking Jimmy and a 5th for a mid 2nd, honestly teams like Washington, Denver, Saints, Steelers, and Giants should be interested.
2nd for sure.
Slice of Pumpkin Pie with whip cream on it
Nothing unless we eat salary
Forgot about this thread... will paste it here.

Watching certain games yesturday, I just feel we'll still get a good deal for Jimmy.

You look at the Saints... you look at the Panthers... you look at the Broncos..... it's just sad to watch to have talent on a team, only to be held back by your QB.

These teams who are ready to win now will compete with each other, will up the asking price for Jimmy. Folks will forget about a few games here and there (Titans game).... these coaches are desperate, they have to think positive and look at the good things regarding Jimmy....they just want to keep their jobs a bit longer.

He'll get an incentive driven contract that protects the team if he gets injuried. Jimmy is good at getting #s, so I can see him taking it.

The only thing that makes it weird is Russell Wilson and Deshaun Watson.. if Russ leaves, Seachickens will get Watson imo.... unless Russ goes to Chicago for a trade involving Fields.

Edit- Eagles and Hurts as well.

I don't think the Seattle would take a Jones + picks trade from the Giants... but I know how bad Cierra wants to go to NY or a big city so we'll see.

Eagles not only have the draft capital for a Watson trade, they reportedly have the owner's approval. same owner who ok'd the acquisition of Micheal Vick after his stint in prison.
