What will Jimmy's trade value be in the offseason?

Not even a chance with most these teams.

Saints, for the millionth time, they don't have the cap, they are gonna be around 60 mil over the cap...

Bears aren't gonna getting rid of Fields after one year lol

Hou invested a 2nd round pick with Mills, and he looked decent on a bad team, he will continue to be the starter.

Dolphins are rolling with Tua again, their ownership has made it clear they want to see him be the starter.

Raiders are not gonna get rid of Carr for Jimmy, if they trade Carr it's for Wilson.

Lions aren't gonna absorb Goffs big contract and pay Jimmy, same with the. Colts

And why the hell would Vikings get rid of Kirk for Jimmy?

If Rodgers/Wilson get moved quickly, Tampa, Denver, or Pitt gonna miss out on one obviously and that's most likely gonna be a spot for Jimmy. Or if Jimmy doesn't care, Giants and WAS are likely as well

Saints have been $60 million over the cap forever. That's their natural state of being now and every single year they manage to make it work somehow.

with Wilson gone, do we trade JG to seattle if they are the only team willing to trade ?

I don't think it will come down to that. But I really doubt we help them out like that, unless they give us a lot more than a 2nd.

i mean you can keep pushing money down the road until you are paying 60% of the cap or more to players no longer there

So you would do it (if seattle had the best offer)

Seattle likes our guys, more so for intel. JG would bring a lot of info and a key piece if they need a QB

I don't see a huge market for Jimmy if all the other QBs move on.

No. Jimmy said he wants to go to a place that can win.......

So all 32 teams are in play
AFC East
Pats - zero interest (Mac Jones)
Jets - minimal interest (Zach Wilson presumed starter)
Dolphins - moderate interest (Tua / McDaniel dynamic unknown)
Bills - zero interest (Josh Allen)

AFC North
Ravens - minimal interest (assuming they lock Lamar Jackson up long term)
Steelers - moderate interest (current starters < Jimmy)
Browns - minimal interest (Baker Mayfield presumed starter)
Bengals - zero interes (Joe Burrow)

AFC South
Colts - minimal interest (guaranteed money for Wentz limiting factor)
Jaguars - zero interest (Trevor Lawrence)
Texans - minimal interest (assuming Watson leaves, Davis Mills seems promising and cheap)
Titans - minimal interest (Tannehill and Jimmy are about equal)

AFC West
Chiefs - zero interest (Pat Mahomes)
Chargers - zero interest (Justin Herbert)
Broncos - moderate interest (current starters < Jimmy)
Raiders - minimal interest (Carr > Jimmy, but they may trade Carr)

NFC East
Cowboys - zero interest (Dak Prescott / guaranteed money)
Commanders - moderate interest (current starters < Jimmy)
Eagles - minimal interest (Hurtz and Jimmy are about equal, Hurtz would be cheaper)
Giants - minimal interest (full franchise reboot, unlikely interested)

NFC North
Packers - zero/moderate interest (depending on whether they move Rodgers)
Vikings - zero interest (Kirk Cousins, guaranteed money)
Bears - zero interest (Justin Fields)
Lions - minimal interest (Goff's guaranteed money, presumed draft pick)

NFC South
Saints - minimal interest (cap constraints)
Bucs - moderate interest (current starters < Jimmy)
Panthers - minimal interest (Jimmy > Darnold, but guaranteed money for Darnold)
Falcons - minimal interest (Ryan's guaranteed money)

NFC West
49ers - minimal interest (Jimmy would have to take a major pay cut)
Cardinals - zero interest (Kyler Murray)
Seahawks - zero/minimal interest (if Wilson is traded, still seems unlikely to pursue Jimmy)
Rams - zero interest (Matt Stafford)

..........................

"Moderate Interest"
Dolphins, Steelers, Broncos, Commanders, Packers (assuming Rodgers is traded), Bucs

"Minimal Interest"
Jets, Ravens, Browns, Colts, Texans, Titans, Raiders, Eagles, Giants, Lions, Saints, Panthers, Falcons, 49ers, Seahawks (assuming Wilson is traded)

It's either going to be the Steelers or the Broncos.

people gotta remember Jimmy will get paid too.

Yeah IND does not make sense cap wise. They would need to find a taker for Wentz's $28 cap hit in 2022 because having both Wentz and Jimmy on the roster at the same time is over $55 in cap allocated to the QB position. nope. Cutting Wentz outright is $15 in dead cap so if they go that route it'd be Jimmy's $27 + $15 dead cap for the QB position in 2022. And the trade assets required to acquire Jimmy. Doesn't add up to a gain imo.

I know that Indy and Minn are not likely, but some GM's just want to watch the world burn. It wouldn't be the first time we'd see a team say F it and move on from someone. Dead cap money, contracts, whatever goes out the window if a new regime wants to move on. I bet if the Saints really wanted Jimmy, they'd make it happen. Some of those money guys are magicians. Ask the Rams

How many of these "every single years" do the Saints trade a draft pick(s) to bring in an additional $25M+ in salary for one player to their already existing cap issues?
Wow the Dophins with their new HC wonder if they go all in for JG
You honestly think Seattle will trade Russ?

I think Seattle trading a franchise QB is more far fetched than any Jimmy scenario.

There will be suitors for Jimmy and we will get a good pick, 2nd I'd say this year with a 2nd next year if we throw in one of our 3rds next year too.

Funny how people have such Differing opinions on Jimmy's value.

I personally think if it was just based on his arm we wouldn't get much but there are a lot of other qualities and reasons that will effect his market, such as leadership, confidence, quick release, winning record, poor draft class, lack of other QB options a handful of teams that are ready to win now. All of these can't be ignored.

someone will step up, probably a few will want him to varying degrees…. We'll soon find out.

MMQB: Multiple NFL Evaluators Say There's Not a Single Starting QB in 2022 NFL Draft

"A couple of veteran NFL evaluators told me late in the week that they don't believe there's a single NFL starter in this year's quarterback class," Albert Breer of MMQB reported. "Not everyone was that harsh, but it was unanimous that these quarterbacks aren't close to last year's—and most agreed that all five of last year's first-round signal-callers would've been the top guy at the position in the 2022 draft."

"THATS JIMMY GAROPPOLO'S MUSIC!"

Crazy that all five guys from last year would have been #1 pick this year

Not Trey though according to a certain few in the Trey Lance thread lol
