Watching certain games yesturday, I just feel we'll still get a good deal for Jimmy.
You look at the Saints... you look at the Panthers... you look at the Broncos..... it's just sad to watch to have talent on a team, only to be held back by your QB.
These teams who are ready to win now will compete with each other, will up the asking price for Jimmy. Folks will forget about a few games here and there (Titans game).... these coaches are desperate, they have to think positive and look at the good things regarding Jimmy....they just want to keep their jobs a bit longer.
He'll get an incentive driven contract that protects the team if he gets injuried. Jimmy is good at getting #s, so I can see him taking it.
The only thing that makes it weird is Russell Wilson and Deshaun Watson.. if Russ leaves, Seachickens will get Watson imo.... unless Russ goes to Chicago for a trade involving Fields.
Edit- Eagles and Hurts as well.
I don't think the Seattle would take a Jones + picks trade from the Giants... but I know how bad Cierra wants to go to NY or a big city so we'll see.
Why would Jimmy restructure? He would only do it if it benefits him, more guaranteed money, he won't do it to make it more team friendly.

From Jimmy's perspective, it's unlikely he'll receive his full contract value this upcoming season. He'll either be working under a new deal or an extension that reduces the cap number.

Good question. We won't extend or restructure JG. Another team trading for JG that views him as their franchise QB might. Think of a Steelers if Roethlisberger retires. They may not want to roll with Rudolph/Haskins. If they traded for JG first thing any team would do is sign him long term (3-5 years most likely). We did this back when we acquired him we signed him long term not long after. Any team signing long term would have a chance to spread the money over multiple years.
Why would JG do this? Currently he has a very high level of uncertainty. Doesn't really know where he will be and how much he will be making in the future. If some team wants him and he is amenable to going there he may agree to a trade and would be open to an extension as it would guarantee dollars and a certain amount of job security. Say a team signs him for 4 years $70 mil they could make perhaps $40 mil fully guaranteed which is way more than he is looking at right now. Plus if a team is guaranteeing him dollars it means they are less apt to move on from him (security). Players like dollars, certainty and security. He would be getting all three.

I don't see the bold part happening. Seattle don't have a first and why Watson would go there? I think Watson will be either a Panther or a Dolphin.
As for Wilson, I think he goes to Denver or New Orleans. His agent said that he would strongly consider those two and NY, but the NY move is lateral at best, if you consider only the football aspect.
I'm more curious to see what will happen in Minnesota, Green Bay and Cleveland.

Player / Conditional Pick + Niners absorb partial salary.
Otherwise he will be outright cut.

Does he need surgery? Shanahan is back to saying he doesn't need it.

3rd round pick. He can win you games with a solid roster and is pretty good on 3rd down. I would prefer him in the AFC so I'm hoping the steelers or texans comes calling.

Teams are really QB desperate. They reach and over pay in picks and money too. You will get more than you think for him. He's a veteran with starting experience. Playoff experience too. Still young enough to help some team. But experienced enough to step right in. He wins more often than not when in there. Some teams will want that.
You can get a 2nd or 3rd round pick for him.

How much would you be willing to give up for a 31 year old often injured mid tier QB? Would you even want him? I doubt many Niner fans would be too excited about landing someone like that especially since we've had more than our share of injuries.
That said he'd be an upgrade over Bridgewater, Mason Rudolph, Taysom Hill, Heinicke, and Daniel Jones.

This is a team that is ready. I wonder who they realistically end up with. Kirk Cousins?
You think Jimmy would want to go there?
Wussell going to New Orleans is scary as f**k.
