What will Jimmy's trade value be in the offseason?

He's 30 and will be 30 to start next season.

I do. GM didn't draft him.

Question is can they find a taker. 25 mil is a bargain compared to 19 for Baker.

Right. that marriage is over in cleveland

One thing odd is yourself, Waterbear and SWH all admit JG is better but in the case of Waterbear and SWH they are arguing that teams should go after lesser QBs because they are more affordable. This is just such bad strategy. Look at ourselves the 49ers. Did we go after the more affordable QB? We unloaded 3 first rounders on Lance. You do everything you can to get the best QB you can. It's the most important position in sport not a position to skimp. Why should other clubs without a QB settle for inferior options?

I don't understand what your point is here...and JG better than who ? Teddy. I didn't say that - I said theyre the same guy. One is slightly more conservative on the Alex Smith-side of things and one is more turnover-y and willing to thread balls into busy traffic.

I see no issue with moneyballing qb-wise or any other position-wise for that matter, but I think it's harder and harder to do nowadays with scouts all over you, all your tape uploaded within hour and dissected, etc etc

Jameis Winston is definitely a moneyball signing though.

Settling for inferior QB because he makes less money makes sense when the difference in performance is negligible and you can upgrade elsewhere. See Ryan, Matt for most of these years sans the MVP year with Kyle.
Tell me JimmyG is not worth two 2nd rounders!

I think the Saints, Panthers, Broncos, Redskins and Steelers are all in play. One will end up w Aaron Rodgers if he leaves GB ( most likely Pitts).
I can see the Niners getting a 2022 3rd and a 2003 2nd for Jimmy.

That was the Kwame Harris draft. I'd be ok with Anthony Adams. He was decent if IIRC. Go get him

Trade value up! A clutch win like this is what we needed to get a little bit of draft capital back

Think I saw something that he will be back. Kid had lots of injuries that he fought through and played with all season. We'll see though

I would look to the Giants and take their 2nd and 4th round picks plus Daniel Jones.

or

Call Washington and see if they would trade Montez Sweat straight up.

Oh absolutely. Played through the injury in crunch time, didn't fold and fought through adversity after playing like crap and put together an incredible end of the game to tie it then win it.
His trade value is going way up. Before that game I had him at a 3rd. After that game a 2nd is almost certain. There are a lot of QB desperate teams. A playoff win or 2 and you may be able to get a late 1st. Teams over pay for a solid QB who can win games and has playoff experience.

You will get more than you think for him. Maybe we should even keep him another year. I wouldn't give him away for free.

The opposite was reported today by multiple reputable sources.

Agree. If there is a Hershel Walker deal out there that ShanaLynch gets, they should jump on that deal.

But yeah, his value just went way up there. He wins another game, it will go even higher. If it's in the Lombardi game, now that's going to be a really difficult choice for ShanaLynch - but I'm sure they'll love to have a problem like that.

This is a joke, right?
