What will Jimmy's trade value be in the offseason?

He's not "beating" Dallas though,...much in the same way he didn't beat the Rams. A valiant effort, no doubt. But without alot of other major contributors we don't pull it off.

Barring a complete change in dependability (which certainly wasn't shown in the Rams game), he's not being kept. It'd just be stupid.

I'd love to keep him in this case, I just don't see it happening with what we will have to pay guys like Bosa, Deebo, etc. The only way we can afford to pay this talent is with a cheap QB.
Two 2nd rdr. They get Jimmmy and a bonus lifetime knee and thumb braces kit bag
great team effort in all phases and JG did his part.

IMO, his stock went way up.

Playing very good football through an injury.

also his leadership - a low 2nd to a high 3rd

How does the salary that a team would have to pay factor in though. That's my biggest concern with his trade value... yes, you could plug him in on any team and get production, but are people going to be willing to trade picks for him with the salary he will get?

For a QB that will get those bubble teams into the playoffs, Jimmy isn't that expensive.
I am on the train to keep him 1 more year and let Trey continuing learning. As much s**t as Jimmy catches in the zone, that dude has been MF'in clutch.

Green Bay when everyone was like OMG, we are going to lose, Jimmy went right down the field and scored. 37 seconds was too much time

Seattle when everyone was like OMG, here we go again.. Jimmy took the team right down the field and gave us a tipped pass from scoring.

Tennessee Jimmy went down and tied the game when everyone said ohhh nooo not Jimmy agin

Cincinnati took care of business again late in the game

Rams when all the chips were on the table, you score to extend this game or you go home... Jimmy drove down the field and scored again

I can already hear it now.. If he didnt F up here and there he wouldnt need to do that.. I dont get the reality some of you are in. THE OTHER TEAMS GET PAID TO PLAY AS WELL! When they make a pick or get a sack, they are paid to do that at the highest level. Jimmy has proven to win.

This. Every QB has a handful of s**tty throws that they either get lucky on or they get an INT. It's like thinking only your team's CBs get burned all the time or only your OL give up sacks. Almost ALL teams deal with this. The QBs with the lower INTs...I've seen them get lucky at least twice a game with could-be INTs.

If I had to say one QB that is usually the cleanest with that, it would be Rodgers. Dude rarely makes bad throws. Brady gets extremely lucky quite a few times.

I love JGs team first attitude and on field leadership. Still, with the investment in TL, I don't know the exit plan if we retain JG. His contract would simply run out and he would be a street free agent. Maybe we could tag him then trade in 2023? Perhaps that would work.
I don't realy see yesterday's game having much influence over Jimmy's trade value. Any team that would base their evaluation or change their mind based on one game is a team that's always going to be a loser. It might be different if that was his only game but he's got enough time to have a history and pattern.

This happens all the time tho. I remember Larry Brown was a nobody. He had the ball thrown to him twice in Super Bowl XXX (NSFW?) and landed what was at the time a fat 5 year deal. Perhaps you are saying it would be wrong to judge based on one game which is likely true but plenty of precedent to show that some club would do so. Also with the injury seems obvious that if he has some clunker passes that are picked and we lose, then he has surgery teams may question his health. If he throws a bunch of money passes and has 4 TDs and we blow out Dallas it puts the injury question to bed.

It doesn't erase his injury history or the fact that he's mostly been an average QB his entire career. We fans have spent 4 years wondering which Jimmy we would see every week. Any team that signs Jimmy knows what they are getting and they're not going to base it on a couple of games.

"Jimmy Garoppolo is 33-14 as a starter, has started in a Super Bowl, and has battled non-stop injuries for 3 years while we traded up to take a QB in the first round. Not once has this man complained, taken any frustration out on his teammates or coaches, never showed his ass to the media. Kept his nose clean from day one and has remained a true professional while his own fanbase has kicked dirt on his name on a daily basis.

That is a true leader to me, and has earned the right to be QB1 of the San Francisco 49ers. Proving haters wrong on a weekly basis with a smile on his face"

-Ray Henderson

If Jimmy does those things, cash in. We need cap space and picks.
Since, draft day I have been saying to sit TL 2/3 years. JG is a TOP 10 qb in this league, and has been since he took over. Injury prone absolutely, but without that, this guy is a great qb.
Every qb has, wtf games, or wtf throws, but when it's time to make a drive for a score more often than not, JG gets the job done.
TL has played what, 16 games, in college. He is not ready to lead a team, with an elite roster right now. Will he? I hope so. Spot duty for TL when JG inevitably goes down, but I would love to ride with JG for the next couple of years!!!

Tag and trade? Err no I don't think so. We either trade him this off season or let him walk next.

There's no reason to believe that Lance couldn't play up to Jimmy's level next season. I respect what Jimmy's done but I'll take the 20 mil we need to sign DJ Jones, Deebo, and Bosa.
Washington traded good capital for Alex Smith
Indy traded a conditional first for bumass Carson Wentz
Matt Statsford was traded for 2 first rounders
And who can forget some bum team traded a first for Sam Bradford?
Lets hope some sucker is desperate, after the guys like Russ and Watson are deal, and deal something good for Jimmy G.
