What will Jimmy's trade value be in the offseason?

Are we all sure that Denver is "ready to win" now? I really dont see it. They won 7 games this year, only one of which came against a playoff team. These are the teams they beat:

New York Giants
New York Jets
Jacksonville
Washington
Dallas
LA Chargers
Detroit

This doesnt scream "ready to win" to me. They lost to pretty much every good team they faced. I get that having a great QB will change things, but I dont consider Jimmy a "great" quarterback. He is fine. But Denver isnt a team that is a competent QB away from being competitive. They are a team that could be a star QB away from being competitive. Especially because their current QB situation is meh and not downright horrible.

Going into 2022 with Jimmy, I still see them as the 4th best team in that division.

Good point man that division is rough. Get ready to saddle up with Mahomes, Herbert and Carr is no slouch. That's 6 brutal QB matchups. I think people point to Javonte Williams who is a freak, Sutton, Jeudy, Patrick, Bolles, Fant. That's a lot of draft capital right there with a young core of skill guys. Needs a QB.

Denver is the perfect trade partner. They have a bunch of early picks this year.

Their own 1st - 9th overall
Rd 2 - their own plus the Rams 2nd in the Miller trade
Rd 3 - " " "
Rd - 4 - their own pick

Plus they have $42M in cap room plus the new cap.

They give us the 2nd round pick from the Rams in the Miller deal that becomes a 1st like the Wentz deal, plus a conditional 2023 conditional 4th. Something along those lines.

Fair
Right now, I think we could get a second round pick for him. If we make the SB with him as our QB, I think we could get TWO second rd picks

Jimmy + a 3rd for McCaffrey. That dude NEEDS to play in Kyle's offense.

Just read an article in NFL.com that suggested the Colts may be considering a move away from Wentz.
This would add another playoff ready team into the hunt for a QB.
Carson wentz was worth a third and a future first
Sam Bradford went for a one and a four
Sam Donald went for a six and a future two and four
Browns reportedly offered the 35th pick for Nick foles

Broncos are definitely trading a second and two 3rds for Jimmy G

I like Javonte Williams but Melvin Gordon is a free agent. They have 2 corners and a starting safety as a free agent. I know Chubb is really good, but he is also coming off an injury and the team has a glaring need at edge pass rusher on the other side.

I hear you. Denver certainly isnt a bad landing spot. I just question whether or not this team really is in win now mode, as the clear 4th best team in their own division.

Yeah you are right. They arent in the "win now" mode yet, but with allot of young talent they are trying to open up that window and feel they are one good HC and a decent QB away. Granted that could be said about allot of teams, the broncos just seem to be in a better position than most.

i disagree with you guys

the roster for the broncos is there. That defense is good they have a pretty good group of WR and RB. I dont know much about their OL but i think theyre just missing a qb

Trade him out of conference.
I am gobsmacked reading some of the posts here. Do people not realize that Sam "f**king" Darnold fetched a sixth-rounder in the 2021 draft plus a second-rounder and fourth-rounder in 2022? Carson Wentz, a QB with less impressive metrics and no playoff victories, got a conditional first plus another pick. And to add context, there are reports the Patriots offered a 2nd rounder for Jimmy last offseason and Lynch said no.

So what makes anyone think that Jimmy won't at least fetch a 2nd plus another pick considering the fact that the QB trade market right now is a seller's market with what seems likely to be a weaker draft crop than the one in 2021 that saw Darnold and Wentz move?

Yes. At least someone here actually has a knowledge of the actual market for a QB is right now. Do people not realize that playoff caliber teams like New Orleans and Pittsburgh probably could have won their divisions with Jimmy in there?

Getting a 2 and maybe a 3 next draft would be sweet!
Jimmy G getting no love from Denver Fans.

We are NOT adding CMC with that salary here add that fact he's been hurt a lot lately. Rb is by far the position we need less of. Jimmy for Brian Burns tho lol
