I doubt there's any fan base out there that is getting excited over getting Jimmy, especially with Rodgers, Wilson, and Watson possibly being available.

Niner fans have a much higher opinion of him than fans around the country. He doesn't make those highlight reel throws so you need to see him every week to know what he's like. He can be a decent QB with the right team, just like Alex Smith was with KC. He's not the kind of QB that a poor team can sign and expect to turn the team around.

Denver is actually pretty good at a lot of positions and they have $50 mil in cap space. Plus they have 5 picks in the top 100. They hav ethe Rams 2nd and 3rd round picks from the Von Miller trade so they could afford to give them up in a trade for Jimmy.

Denver passed on Kap when they had a historic D and chose Paxton Lynch and a bunch of scrubs instead

Every team has a slightly different situation as far as cap space, draft picks and team personnel. Coaches have their own idea of the type of QB they want. All these thungs are going to be considered by any team looking for a QB. Personally, I think there are only a few teams that Jimmy would fit. Denver is one. The Steelers might work too. but I'm not sure about their cap situation.

I like Denver for several reasons. He would have a pretty good surrounding cast and a great fan base to play for. They have the draft picks and cap space. They are in the AFC so the Niners wouldn't have to face him very often. The question there will be who ends up as the head coach. Will he want a QB like Jimmy or would he prefer a young draft pick to mold.

We need to find a coach that didn't get fired, but is on the hot seat to win this coming year. This team will need a QB, and may or may not have a future answer at the position. If they don't, the assumption is they'll draft a QB behind Jimmy.

We need a desperate FO. Maybe the Colts? CLE? WAS?

To go that route would mean Denver would be another two years with below-average QB play. I don't see them going that route unless none of the other potential candidates are available.

If Ben retires, Pittsburgh will have well over $50M in cap room. They would be in play as well.
