What will Jimmy's trade value be in the offseason?

I just hope it's not with the 49ers. That would create a toxic locker room. He would have his group of supporters and Lance would have his group. Horrible for Lance's development. Imo you can't bring Jimmy into training camp

How would it create a toxic locker room? Lance and Garoppolo have both shown themselves to be professionals and worked well together last year. Jimmy G doesn't strike me as the kind of guy to start pouting if Lance is declared the starter. He'll put the work in and be ready to step in if needed due to injury.

It's only the toxic fan base (and some sections of the media) that will create any problem.

Very simple they don't know who their QB is. If the starter makes a mistake they will be calling for the other.

I can't imagine that the Falcons, who everyone expects to be eating a chunk of Matt Ryan's salary if moved, would be willing to give a big contract to Jimmy. No logic behind that IMO.

None. ATL is gonna either draft a QB or sign someone cheap. Love if they took Winston from New Orleans but I doubt it.

Just cut your loses and move on at this point.
Yea, ATL isn't eating $40M in dead cap and paying $20+M for Jimmy. Spending $60+M on the QB position with anyone other than the best QB in the league would be very laughable. Any chance the Falcons were able to trade away any of their salary or is that not possible since it is dead cap money?

I just don't see it. So what they were gonna trade for Watson last week and pay him megabucks. Then they lose out on Watson and become financially unviable need to spend pennies at the QB position. If they need to spend pennies on the position how on earth did they get deep in the running for Watson? Doesn't make much sense to me.

I'll bet money INDY will be looking for a QB in a yr

If Ryan gets trade to the Colts that will leave NO and ATL as possible landing spots for Jimmy. If he goes to either of those teams he'll be in a similar situation that he was this past season since both teams will probably pick a QB in the 2023 draft. My guess is they would give him a 2 year extension.

right makes no sense for them to get Jimmy. Only teams I see left is Carolina and the Texans.

Ryan to the Colts is a done deal according to NFLN.
In fairness Matt Ryan has a demonstrably better resume than Jimmy. He should help the Colts beat the Jaguars next year.

Yep. But it won't be Jimmy.

I'll be f**king pissed as s**t if we're watching Jimmy and Lance split reps in camp and Jimmy is playing on a $27M cap hit

Prepare to be pissed as s**t then.

I think it's far more likely than not that the SF QBs this training camp are 1. Lance, 2. Garoppolo

Maybe JG gets traded at the draft, or in pre-season, or at the mid-season trade deadline. But I think he's just as likely to be on the team until he's a free agent a year from now.

Because Watson is a FQB for the next decade...they're gonna go get someone like Marcus who was with Smith

Saints are gonna go resign Winston like always (if they could land a big fish). Panthers will be drafting a QB and Jimmy like most said isn't worth much to the NFL.

over reacting,,,,,, we were told we would have multiple suitors.. we should have with the crap qb class this year... it is obvious we had no interest and kyle and lynch decided to play this stupid little game of chicken thinking the teams in the nfl were stupid... and now here we are stuck with jimmy. over reacting... to me. the people under reacting to this and thinking everything is fine. and its part of the plan blah blah blah are the odd ones
