Pretty sure they looked at it as Matt Ryan would be a cheaper bridge QB than Jimmy (in terms of draft capital). Looks like they're in a bit of limbo for their long-term plans at QB though, but they can be competitive this year with Matt Ryan.

That would be Inexcusable If that we're to happen. I think the fan base would lose faith In both Kyle and Lynch If Jimmy Is still starting for us next season.

Lance will be starting. Jimmy will be the vet backup.

Ryan stinks...he's gotten progressively worse and will be looking to make one last massive payday after this season. He's not gonna play on a $28M cap hit in 2023.

He was never as elite as his MVP season would suggest but I bet he has a fantastic season with a much better roster around him.

Nope, at best he'll be the backup. With a fair competition Trey would have started last season. With a fair competition this season Trey will start.

maybe that is the reason why lynch is not showing he cares about the o line this year. but NEXT year we will upgrade the o line when we KNOW trey will be the starter.. my head hurts so much today

The thing that people forget is that player age is a consideration. Matt Ryan might have 1, 2 years left before he retires.

New Orleans gonna just wait for Winston to get healthy, they know they can sign him whenever. Panthers are gonna draft a QB and Baker who gives a s**t maybe ends up in Seattle.

This was the off season if there ever was one to move Jimmy...almost a dozen teams that needed a starting QB and a horrible draft, SF either overplayed their hand or didn't even get a offer.

This is exactly what 808, SWH, and I have been saying all along. These teams will value the younger upside players and FA QBs over trading for Jimmy G.

You kept saying good luck selling to your franchise these QBs over Jimmy and yet they still made those exact moves.

I agree with all the moves these teams have made for the most part besides WFT taking Wentz.

I don't get the panic reaction. We knew Ryan wanted out since the Watson pursuit. We knew Indy wasn't going JG they would have already done so if they wanted him. Ryan to Indy in fact helps as JG wasn't really going there and it keeps Ryan out of SEA. Ryan still a FQB for a couple years imo.

Dude you can't flip flop starters and have Jimmy as a backup making $27M. He can't be on the team and if he isn't it can NOT be at that price point.
