Matt Ryan's trade will incur a dead cap hit of $40.525M for the Falcons, the largest dead cap hit in NFL history by nearly $7M.

What will Jimmy's trade value be in the offseason?

Another wasted year on his cap friendly rookie deal
Why sit behind a s**ttier QB? Trey ain't sitting behind a QB nobody wants.

Jimmy wants to be cut. He's not gonna sign some backup deal for multiple yrs. At some point it's a sunk cost (at this point it's not even a real sunk cost) move on.

The Browns traded Case Keenum to the Bills for a 7th.
This is Jimmy's market comparison.
Lynch needs to stop making a false market and just move him along and allow the Niners to have a clean slate.

NO hasn't shown interest, Winston makes more sense.
ATL needs someone, they'll probably draft a guy.
SEA won't get Jimmy unless he's cut.
NYG don't seem to be interested in Jimmy.
I still think the Texans are in play.

Yup. He will get signed when someone gets hurt somewhere.

Don't they have a young QB they are ok with?

Prepare to be pissed as s**t then.
I think it's far more likely than not that the SF QBs this training camp are 1. Lance, 2. Garoppolo
Maybe JG gets traded at the draft, or in pre-season, or at the mid-season trade deadline. But I think he's just as likely to be on the team until he's a free agent a year from now.
Dude you can't flip flop starters and have Jimmy as a backup making $27M. He can't be on the team and if he isn't it can NOT be at that price point.
thank you 85,, you are the only one talking about this. god forbid. if we keep jimmy.... what are we paying him,.

Its funny that a lot of the people who think Ryan stinks (not necessarily you) refuse to acknowledge his 2021 was essentially the same as Jimmy's 2021.
And Jimmy had a SUBSTANTIALLY better situation around him.
True.
But to be fair, 514 passing attempts vs. 573 when you're constantly behind suggests Matt really blows now too.
He was hit 130 times though. LOL
That doesn't mean he can't resurrect his career though in Indy but I wouldn't expect much.

Yup. Texans not looking for a starter.
