Maybe JG gets traded at the draft, or in pre-season, or at the mid-season trade deadline. But I think he's just as likely to be on the team until he's a free agent a year from now.

Dude you can't flip flop starters and have Jimmy as a backup making $27M. He can't be on the team and if he isn't it can NOT be at that price point.

I'd say just offer jimmy for Saquan straight up and say fuk it, save 11 million still and see if Saquan fits and if not he's gone next year. But then again didn't the giants sign Tyrod ?

We would have to take Darnold's contract. I would actually do that if they were to give us a 2nd in return. It still saves up $9 Million, We get a 2nd RD pick and won't have the distraction and the circus that surrounds Jimmy.

Starting QB's Available (2): Jimmy Garoppolo, Baker Mayfield
Potential Starting QB's Available (2): Marcus Mariota, Jameis Winston
Other QB's (2): Ryan Fitzpatrick, Andy Dalton

Ideally, Seattle takes Mayfield. That leaves the 3 NFC South teams and Houston as teams that need a QB.

I'm pretty sure that teams will prefer Jimmy G over Mariota, Winston.... It's just a question of value. Would I rather give up a 3rd to trade for Jimmy, or just sign one of these guys and not give up any draft capital?
