Will CAR choose to pay both Jimmy and Darnold? Doubtful

NO hasn't shown interest, Winston makes more sense.

ATL needs someone, they'll probably draft a guy.

SEA won't get Jimmy unless he's cut.

NYG don't seem to be interested in Jimmy.

Marcus gonna go to ATL.

Seattle gonna get Baker for a 3rd.

NO will sign Winston like it always was gonna (unless they landed Watson)

Car will draft a QB and have him compete with Darnold.

Jimmy should be cut or see if you can move him for a day 3 pick to the texans or some s**t.

Lol Baker Mayfield gonna cost way more than a third

He should cost a conditional 6th round pick. Not more than a 3rd

Just cut him at this point.

and i bet the saints value winston more than jimmy. nothing positive will come out of him being on our team next year. the lynch bath water drinkers will disagree but thats fine. no matter what lynch does or the front office does.. its fine and anyone who does not think that is a worrywart who needs to get another team

How is it Lynch's fault that teams don't want Jimmy? If anything the FO has done a good job putting out this fake news through reporters that teams are calling them and willing to give up a 2nd. Best offer has probably been a 2023 3rd round pick most likely.

and i say the odds are better that Baker lands in NOLA

If we keep JG we are obviously paying out the final year of the deal unless you want to extend him

You're not paying him $27M to be a backup...Lance needs to be the starter and get all the reps possible from day 1 of camp. You can't split that s**t and deal with the constant who's the starter throughout the year.

It's literally the worst possible scenario out of everything that's been discussed.

No you weren't, not even once.

lynch said we will have multiple suitors... kyle said the same and said we will find him a place where he is happy and whats more... kyle said we will use the jimmy money and quote surround trey with elite talent.... i know you need to carry the water for lynch.. but stop it.... the way they have mismanaged this and misread this is not defensible in the least

If somehow next season we have a 27M clipboard holder instead of the quality of free agents we could have signed, heads need to roll.

record + playoffs is way more important to me than who is on the roster at what price.

So no, heads dont need to roll.

Losing out on quality signings directly impacts what that record will be, so yes heads need to roll.

The media is gonna media no matter what. You think Shanahan gives a s**t?

He f**king should. Did you not see the players reaction every damn time they got asking about Jimmy vs Lance? That was the s**t all yr.

This is not Jimmy's team anymore. There should NOT be any split reps in camp. There is not good reason to pay a backup $27M, it's the biggest waste of money on a team that NEEDS legit starters.

Get this dude off the team and let him go find a job elsewhere....that's clearly what he wants.

The players basically said they liked and supported both guys last year. It wasn't an issue, and it wouldn't be an issue.

Why would they split reps? Lance would get the starter reps, Jimmy would get the backup reps.

Everyone is so concerned about the money. Shanalynch are obviously not all that concerned.

What Jimmy wants is not all that relevant.

Maybe there's an option to restructure Jimmy for 2 years. Makes him more affordable as a backup and more favorable to trade.

Jimmy wants to be cut. He's not gonna sign some backup deal for multiple yrs. At some point it's a sunk cost (at this point it's not even a real sunk cost) move on.
This sucks. Options:

Trade: Only 3 NFC south teams left with Seattle (not happening) for a potential trade. Car just overpayed on a trade for QB last year with no 2nd or 3rd round picks, ATL took on $40M dead money for Ryan and likely tanking for 2023 QB, NO likely going cheaper route with Winston or Mariota. Day 3 pick at best for Jimmy.

Cut: Saves cap dollars to extend players or get a couple mid range free agents but nothing in return. Jimmy can pick his team as a likely backup QB option for around $10M per year.

Keep: $27M for a backup QB is insane and likely he won't budge on lowering salary. Let him go to free agency next year and get a 3rd round comp likely. Although if his new team is only willing to pay him as a backup, the comp pick likely is in the 4th-7th range.

the words front office and good job should not be in the same sentence in my opinion for the way they have handled this

I still think the Texans are in play.

Mills on a cheap deal > Jimmy at $27M

Not if you want to win
It's looking more and more likely Jimmy will be cut and be a backup / competition on a 1-year deal.

This is exactly what 808, SWH, and I have been saying all along. These teams will value the younger upside players and FA QBs over trading for Jimmy G.

You kept saying good luck selling to your franchise these QBs over Jimmy and yet they still made those exact moves.

I agree with all the moves these teams have made for the most part besides WFT taking Wentz.

Phoenix deserves some of this love too 😘

They may not be ready to give him the reigns.

What are you talking about ? They have given him the reigns last year and he wasnt that terrible considering the situation and him being a rookie.

based off what? He's got his own shoulder issue, played like s**t, is on his 5th yr option, and is an emotional baby. Reports are that's what Cleveland is looking for a day 2 pick.
